There was a time when you could work the gp to overcome a inexperienced poor Qb and still win 10 or more games. I really believe those days are over.
This is where the FOF-Solecismic nailed the simulation to reflect true NFL game play.

Anyone, Anyone, Buehler, Buehler.

I am doing pretty well in WOOF (10-6), GML (10-6, 13-3) and CCFL (10-6) with low rated QBs.

EDIT: HFL (10-6) as well, but the QB is a 46/46.

How low-rated are we talking? I haven't been able to get over the 8-8/9-7 hump with my 45ish QB yet, but several AI teams in my solo league have won championships with worse QBs than that. I do play with high injuries, which throws a lot of chaos into things. But there aren't that many elite-level QBs, the 15th-best starting QB is usually around 45 or so. At that point, with some breaks, and injuries to other teams, you can win a lot if your team is good.

Let's see...
CCFL- time split between 32/32 and 16/29 rookie
WOOF- 13/17
HFL- 46/46
GML-40/40

In WOOF, I went 13-3 and made it to the Conf. Championship game with a 49/49 QB. I let him go in FA, and went 11-5 with a 45/45 QB. I think the overall team make up matters a lot more than in years past. Having a good OL actually makes a difference now.

I am currently sitting at 6-4 with a 19/31 Brandon weeden starting. I would likely be doing better but he and my starting in who has topped 100 yards in each full game he played missed 3 games and a late round rookie rated 10/33 had to start those 3 games which we lost

Well, we ended up 7-9 thanks to a 4 game losing streak once Joe Haden went down but I think one more good draft and even if weeden is still my qb I could have a playoff team

Said no one ever, but delusional Browns fans.

From what I have seen, you can still have some success both in the game and in real life with mediocre QB play.

Well, weeden didn't end up taking me to the playoffs. I drafted a qb in the 2nd round who at first showed 18/52 and weeden was holding out so I cut him. After preseason my guy had dropped to 19/33 and he was okay through 10 games leading us to a winning record despite his turnovers . He got hurt and a guy I had from the previous draft who was 14/32 took over and we went on to win the division and beat a wildcard Texans team in the playoffs before getting beaten down by New England.

In the upcoming season I look forward to having Kirk cousins (35/44) as my qb with a 98 grade in roster talent. We certainly look like a super bowl contender if Joe Haden can stay healthy so we can have the #1 and #2 corner in the league.
