Ugh! Took over the Jags in the off season of 2020/2021, and I've just concluded my 4th season with them. After some very challenging cap situations in year 1 and year 2, I feel I've got a good roster now that should be able to compete. The last 2 season's, I've been #1 in the power ranking (if that even means anything) pre-week 1 of the season.

Over my 4 seasons so far I've gone:

6-10
6-10
6-10
7-9 (though I did lose 3 of those 9 games by 3 points )

I've picked 8th in the draft 3 times, 9th once. Fortunately, I've hit on good players in the draft with my 1st picks, and for the last few years, with a lot of my other picks to. I just seem to refuse to get better lol 8th/9th isn't really here or there. I'm on the bubble, not pushing for the playoffs but not scraping the barrel either.

Blake Bortles is killing me. The last 2 years he has had more picks than TDs and the team has had a negative turnover differential. I am playing purely as the GM, so I roster manage, staff manage and set the depth charts. Gameplanning is auto-managed. My scouts reckon he is 60 OVR. The league scout thinks he is 54 OVR. He plays like he is 10 OVR :( In the draft I only really ever see 1 stud QB who pretty much always goes #1, and after that they all just look pretty average. I've drafted a mid round QB in each of the last few seasons without much success to date.

Tied to Bortles sending me prematurely to old age, my running game is terrible. I'm constantly 30th or worst in running statistics, rushing attempts, YPC etc. Without breaking my own GM rules and game planning myself, what can I do to counter that? All my linemen are 50+ OVR, with a good balance of run/pass blocking, and I've got a 51 OVR RB and a 52 OVR RB.

My D isn't that bad. Bit thin in places, but I have a stud DE, MLB, SS and CB, and some really solid players around those guys, playing a 3-4. I was top 10 in a lot of defensive categories last season.

I'm almost at the point of blowing the whole thing up and tanking for a few years!

Help :banghead:

You can often get a difference RB drafting 8th or 9th. ow volatility, max-out bars. This could move you up 2-3 wins, I think, unless your O line is really the problem.

Look at the box scores where it lists your offensive line and see what kind of stats they have. That is a good way you can tell how well your o-line is performing.

Some QBs just throw INTs and there's nothing you can do about it. I believe it's a hidden stat. Maybe Bortles is your problem. I know you can win games with a much lower rated QB if everything else around them is good.

Does anyone know who to contact to get an old code for the original disk for TCY. I did some recent moving and found it when I unpacked a box.

Thanks
