If you go 10 minutes without posting somthing in this thread you are eliminated from this challenge. The last one still online is the winner.
I will not wait up for you guys. just look at your time stamp. if it is more than 10 minutes between posts just stop posting.

Sunshine day, everybody smiling! Sunshine day!
Alas my love, you say goodbye
Wipe the poison from my brow
Alas my love, this guilty night
It gives me up like a foster child
And in this moment I take my vow
These angels sleeping at my feet
And in this moment you do not know how
How my spirit wants to flee
You see it was one man against the night
Taking on a multitude
That had left Him high and dry
No candle burning vigil could light the way
Darkness hit the ground like a fallen satellite
He wrestled until morning
With human souls and dark angels
And there He finished His work On the third day
Yes, Kodos, I love it here...you can tell I haven't been on land for a while!
Got my orders for Great Lakes today!

Just a thought. In the real survivor, the person who wins the final immunity challenge, NEVER wins the game.
So, who is going to pull off the daring move of giving up immunity for a better chance of winning.
Kodos?
I'll be posting like this quite often...

I've never watched a single episode of the real survivor. Why is this? (that the person who wins the final challenge never wins, etc, not why haven't I watched)
As I sit and ponder I begin to wonder why
God would send His only Son upon this earth to die
The conviction of my heart brings a tear to my eye
And keep reality far from me, I just want to hide
Christ endured such cruelty for a sinner like me
He paid the price when He died for me on Calvary's tree
I once was blind, but now my eyes clearly see
The sacrifice Christ became for you and me
Because Jesus loves me, this I know For the Word of God tells me so
All of us to Him belong, it's true That we are weak, yet He is strong

That is a lesson I learn almost daily Kodos. Kodos is offline already! Did our alien's dialup fail him?!
You got something I like about you
You seem to be a lot like me
I've got ticket to adventure for two
Could be your golden opportunity.
The travel agent, she set up the itinerary,
First class, you can see the moon from a window seat
An agent guided tour of the galaxy,
Tips included, if you want them come with me
I wanna know, is there life on Pluto?
Wanna go with me?
We can go in a UFO!
I wanna know, is there life on Pluto?
Wanna go with me?
We can go in a UFO!
I'm bored. Need a little motivation
I'm tired of the same old thing
I've got a feeling of anticipation
Could be our golden opportunity
I've got an urge to go swimming in the Milky Way
Take a trip of fishing in the Neptune sea
Have my picture taken with Peter at the "Pearly Gates"
Smile for the Hubbell, if you want them come with me.
In between a blink of an eye, we'll be together
In the sky, we'll be together

Radii, I think it is because of this:
The winner of the final immunity is the only one who votes the last person off the island. So, there are three left, and the 2 immunity loser's votes cancel each other out, so just the immunity winner's vote counts.
So, they have to make the final back stabbing decision as to who gets voted out last.
Then, the jury (comprised of everyone voted out) votes on the final 2, to see who wins. I think two things are at work here.
(1) The person voted out last is mad at the person who won immunity (and therefore voted them out) so they give the nod to the other person.
(2) The jury remembers the last thing that happened the most, and that is usually that final backstabbing.
I probably explained that as clear as mud.

Dola..... In the original Survivor, the eventual winner was Richard, and he made a brilliant move at the end.
It was down to three players, Richard, Rudy and Kelly. Richard and Rudy had a rock solid alliance. Rudy was liked by everyone. Kelly was not (nor was Richard for that matter).
So what did he do? He intentionally quit the final immunity challenge (almost exactly like the one set up here).
He figured if Rudy won, he would take Richard because of the alliance.
If Kelly won, she would take Richard because she couldn't win against Rudy....and even better Rudy would be on the jury and was a sure vote for him.
Kelly ended up winning immunity, and did in fact take Richard to the Final 2, where he ended up winning.

Of course, you could have doubled checked back with your original alliance that was supposed to make the final 3 and see why AE said you were the next to go. :)

When Kodos approached me about voting Marmel out I had no idea how strong any of the alliances were. I did have a solid understanding that Marmel was running the show, and that I felt I was on the outside looking in and had little, if no, control over my destiny as long as he was still in the game. So I thought Kodos' move was rather brilliant and threw a wrench into what may have been a very scripted ending.
Anyone realize I have a 1.5 liter of Coke beside me right now?

The original pact was SplitP and myself, and then we pulled Kodos in, and figured we could cruise to the final 3. AE and Radii played the game, so that was a great group of 5.
When it got down to us final 5, splitP, myself and Kodos were still a pretty solid group, but I think both Kodos and I wanted to bring each other into the final 2 because it weas unlikely we would beat the 'nice guy' SplitP.
Radii was going to go next, but he won immunity, so it had to be AE. I thought the vote was decided, and then AE emailed me asking who to vote for. I told him it was a tough decision, but it was Kodos (even though it was him). I guess AE went and talked to Kodos and Splits after that....that is when the plan backfired.
In retrospect, I should have emailed the other guys again and told them what I told AE. OR, I should have asked AE who should go next, and let him make the decision.........
either way this has been a lot of fun, even though it has not been a stellar example of group participation.
Maybe somebody else will get another one going sometime.

Varsity hamburgers are scary. Varsity ANYTHING with Chili is scary. Don't eat anything with Chili from the varsity if you have to leave the bathroom the next day.
I walked by the Varsity every work day for 1 1/2 years from late 95 to sometime in '97... minus the time we got kicked off campus for the olympics.

Part of my strategy was to let Marmel run the show through most of the game, just going along with whoever he suggested we oust. I figured this would eventually lead to me being able to start a rebellion against him if I needed one.
Looking back at the road so far
The journey's left its share of scars
mostly from leaving the narrow and straight
Looking back it is clear to me
That a man is more than the sum of his deeds
and how you've made good of this mess I've made
is a profound mystery
Looking back you know you had to bring me through
(All that I was so afraid of)
(Though I questioned the sky, now I see why)
(Had to walk the rocks to see the mountain view)
Looking back I see your lead of love
Looking back I can finally see
How failures bring humility
Brings me to my knees
Helps me see my need for Thee
Looking back you know you had to bring me through
(All that I was so afraid of)
(Though I questioned the sky, now I see why)
(Had to walk the rocks to see the mountain view)

I still maintain that Kodos screwed it all up. It could have been you, me and SplitP in this challenge, and our posting prowess would guarantee one of us would win, and then it would have been you and I in the final 2, Alien.
You would at least have had a 50/50 chance against me in teh fianl 2. You stand NO chance to win this against either Radii or AE. The best you can do now is 2nd place.

I have no idea if I can win against either Radii or AE, but I figure if I get there and lose, at least I did everything I could to try to win.
I heart all my friends in Survivor FOFC.

I'd actually be curious to know why I have consistently won the popular vote (when John Galt was not an option) in the public poll. I haven't been very vocal or high-profile in the game, so I'm not sure what was driving that. Anyone care to say why? Or am I just that unpopular in general? I'm asking more out of curiousity than anything else.
I heart Kodos. I've got a few theories. I know people looked at you as a threat. I did early on. I figured the major duo was yourself and Marmel.
Marmel
05-08-2003, 02:47 PM
I would guess it is because of your polls and bad puns.
As my poll showed, they are not all that popular.
Radii
05-08-2003, 02:47 PM
Kodos, once I saw someone taking the lead in the popular vote, I'd vote for them too, just to push them even further ahead. If all the other competitors were doing this too, it could have drastically swayed the results of the polls. Other than that, I really have no idea. Maybe the entire board secretly loves the Cowboys?
Anyone else get my package by mistake??

You guys have been going at this for just under 2 hours now. If I was in this, I would be in trouble since I am leaving work soon and it takes me more than 10 minutes to get home.

What i'm curious about on the whole survivor FOFC thing is how many non-participants paid attention at all. Lots of people generally voted, a lot more than 10 on most of polls I believe. I wonder how many people actually knew what was going on and who they were voting for, etc. Seriously, I wonder if a majority of the votes was just a "sweet, a poll. Everyone loves a poll. Hey, I know that Kodos guy. I'll click him."
I was expecting jelly bellies...not a blow up doll. I'll have to talk to her about that.

For what it's worth, I think paranoia killed the Marmel, Kodos, SpltP alliance. I was worried about the two of you and vice versa it seems.

I had no paranoia. I really thought us three would be in the final 3. Splits was my original ally from the very beginning, but I would of probably tuned on him, only in the final 3 because I wouldn't beat him, but might beat Kodos.
