The Howard Stern Show Whack Packer died yesterday, says quite a few people connected to the show.

I haven't been a regular listener for a few years, but he was always one of the highlights. Even though he was so grumpy, there was something kind of inspiring and charming about how he found so many things in life to be so into.

Oh damn, this actually makes me quite sad. Despite his abrasive personality I always loved it when he called in and he certainly more to overcome than anyone deserved.

RIP little angry guy :(

The guy did not get dealt a good hand in life health-wise but it's cool how many of his entertainment industry fantasies he got to live out - going to pro wrestling events, acting, meeting celebrities.

Very tough to say goodbye. Like most who listen, I loved when Eric was on the phone. His loss will be felt by this show more then just about anybody in recent years.

It's too bad, he deserved more time.

I loved Eric. Was maybe the best caller they ever had. He had a great run a few years ago where he carried the show and I tuned in daily just to hear him.

I still think part of the stuff was a radio bit but I enjoyed it the same. Dude got dealt a crummy hand and made the most out of it.

Hopefully this means the end of Johnny Fratto too.

Eric actually got a shoutout from the announcers on WWE Monday Night Raw tonight.

And here's Howard this morning. Remembrances and highlights, great stuff. One of my favorites was Eric's attempts at online radio shows which were always just overwhelmed with technical difficulties.
