Can't release player?

Can't search from tapatalk, but I have a guy at the end of the preseason who I cannot release. The option is grayed out.

He's probable, yet not even a buyout is an option.

If a player has more than 1 year on his deal, he can't be released if injured.

He can't go on IR unless he is doubtful or worse.

This is one of the most frustrating and difficult to understand things in this game and something that I wish would change. That, and the 3QB requirement (the NFL doesn't), and the new-to-FOF7 requirement that none of the 3 QBs can be 'out'.

agreed on the 3QB bit you cant even deactivate your 3rd stringer for the game

I wrote to support once about this. They replied that they were aware of the issue but that it was a "design decision", IIRC. Made it sound as though fixing that would create other problems, but it all sounded a bit strange to me.
