Can't Release My QB

I'm doing a replay league and Bert Jones is an injury prone SOB. He has 3 years left on his contract but I'm willing to eat up his bonus in order to shed his salary off of my books. However, the release button is blacked out. Anyone know why that would be?

If he is injured, you might not be able to release him (or have to pay an injury settlement).

Players who are any kind of injured with more than 1 year on contract can't be released.

Players have to be doubtful or worse to hit IR.

Unfortunately, he is absolutely stuck on your roster until he's healthy. Something I wish could be changed!
