Players automatically switching active/inactive

Whenever I set my backup punter to "inactive" and set 1 of my linebackers to "active", the computer seems to change them back when I try to sim a week. I've went into single player options and told it not to do this so why is this occuring?

Check your global options and make sure you are managing the depth chart and roster, not the AI.

I went into single player options and set "coaches reset depth chart prior to each game" to NO, is there another place I need to check?

Is multiplayer tab open?

Active/Inactive gets changed due to "scouts automatically sign players" in Global Options. Turn that off if you want active/inactive to stay the same.
