Hi everyone.

I've only recently purchased FOF7 and this is my first post on the forum. I really like the potential of the game and hope to watch it grow even bigger and better. Also enjoy reading the forums and hope I can contribute even in a small way.

I'm sure this is a fairly easy solve for the experienced FOF players but it's driving me crazy at the moment.

I've started my franchise as the Minnesota Vikings and played the first preseason game. Adrian Peterson got a knock and was listed as 'Probable,' so I decided to sit him out as I'm sure the majority of people would. No point in risking it , right? I make him inactive and activated Asiata. I also remove AP from all his roles in the offensive backfield. I go to simulate the next game and I keep getting the following error.

Depth Chart Error - Your depth chart contains a player no longer active on your roster. Please adjust your depth chart before continuing.

I have searched my entire roster making sure that there is no-one else inactive, I have made sure I have enough players active/inactive in each position. I have reset the depth chart using 'Recommend All Depth Chart,' and only made the discussed Peterson/Asiata change and still get the same error.

I know I could just play the game with Peterson active but I don't want to and shouldn't have to. I'd rather solve the problem now that later, so if anyone has any suggestions of what I'm missing, I'd be grateful for the response.

Cheers

Make sure there are NO empty spots prior to simming. Not just the RB you messed with, even the last safety slot...thats normally what draws that message.

Actually I'd play probable guys unless they had a knee injury, or a moderate risk of reinjury.

If you rexxed all depth charts that should have caught everything.

But yeah Dutch is right. If the backup KR spot is empty you'll get this warning. ALso check to make sure under Single Player Options that you aren't having coaches reset gameplans or depth charts.

Thanks for the responses guys, much appreciated.

I wrote a long email in response saying I have done all the things you said and it still wasn't working. So one last time I went through the entire depth chart this time and locked everyone in. Clicked to simulate and it worked. Guess my attention to details just wasn't there in the beginning.

Anyway thanks again for the suggestions.

I wish it would tell you the offending charts on screen when the error pops up. One of my #1 gripes.

Absolutely mate, it is frustrating that you don't know exactly who you need to fix. I'm sure more the more 'user friendly,' stuff is something we can hope for in future versions. Finally having a decent NFL sim to play is great for now and small improvements every new release can only make it even better.
