Weird, the story's two months old, the unveiling was supposed to be a month and a half ago, yet this is the first I've heard of this. Interesting...

This color change has been in the news for a year, at least. Has anything new been reported on it? I know the 20 is going to be a light purple, 50 is yellow, and 100 is blue (or 50 is blue and 100 is yellow) :D.

Won't colored bills make counterfeiting easier? People at first especially will probably take anything that looks reasonably like a $20, especially at department stores.
Go buy some construction paper and print some out! :)

Darnit, the 20's need to stay green....and 50's should definitely be blue and the 100's tan. If anything is to be light purple, it should be the 5's. Though it would be cool if they used gray 50's and salmon 100's, as they did with the earliest Monopoly sets (yes, I collect them...why, nobody knows).

This is a mistake. The US 'greenback" is like a trademark.
