View Full Version : Team Need List / Draft Review Q´s
Still learning the game & just curious to know about this, I have some Draft related questions:
a) who is recommending the team positions / categories on the Team Needs List? My Staff?
a1) how reliable are these recommendations? I´m asking because I tend to disagree with those.
b) on the Draft Review screen, the draftees are graded. Who grades them? The league scout?
b1) are these grades related to my Need List or to the quality of the players I drafted?

At the risk of being unreasonable or flippant... most veteran players completely skip over all this. You are the best judge of what you need and how your draft went. This stuff is a nice-looking feature, and might be impressive to people just getting started with the game (or to a reviewer) but all told, this stuff is just window dressing.

Yes, I would completely disregard this. It may say you need a DT, but maybe you're playing the 3/4 and only need one. Or a FB, you can always find one of those. It's sorta nice, however, if you are picking 3rd in the draft and want to see which players might go 1/2, however.

Do the quality of coaches and scouts affects the accuracy of the team needs list?

I use the team needs list when trying to predict AI draft picks to see whether a certain player will likely fall to me, based on the logic that the calculations that produce the team needs must also have an effect on draft priorities.
However I ignore it completely as far as my own team goes.

O.K. this seems to be an unanimous decision. ;)
Thank you all.

I do this too, and it has been helpful to me. It seems teams generally will pick a need if a player at that position is near the top of the board, and if none of those needs come up, usually they go with most talented on the board. Using the priorities can help pinpoint when you need to move up, or if you can move down.
