The author of the "Discworld" series passed away today at the age of 66 from complications of Alzheimer's.

I really hope Death turned up on Binky his white horse and welcomed Mr Pratchett in style.

A great author whose novels and characters entertained so many people for a long time, he will be sorely missed.
