We've had a lot of discussions on where to buy new 'puter systems. However, I don't need a brand new system.

I already have a GForce 4200, a SoundBlaster Live!, mouse, keyboard, ethenet card, monitor, speakers, Win XP, hard drives, CD burner, ect...

All I want is the case, memory, chip, fans and heatsinks. It's that simple. And I don't want to have to pay for extras I'm not going to use. But I don't want to have to put that together. So where's the best place to get that at a reasonable price?

Here's the specs I'm thinking of:

AMD 2200
Motherboard (DDR 400)
512K DDR 400 RAM
Good, solid case with lots of fans

Let me say one thing here Blackie - avoid OCSystems like the plague. They will overclock an XP1700+ to the clock levels of a 2200+ and sell it to you as a 2200+. They are especially bad with this about memory.

I've been putting machines together through TigerDirect.com since I have been living in Turkey. I have purchased 3 motherboards, 2 processors, a lot of memory, hard drives, video cards including a VisionTek Radeon 9800, cd drives, writers, keyboards, mice, and even cases and accessories.

They aren't the best place to go, alot of their stuff is refurbished, but I have only had the displeasure of returning one item, a really bad Pentium 4 ZFX motherboard that was incompatable with my Sound Blaster Audigy and Geforce card. And that was ZFX's problem, not TigerDirect.

I have also gotten some great deals by patiently playing the Ebay game.

Good luck in whatever you decide to do.
