That wasn't very professional. It might be correct, but it didn't seem like a serious attempt to discuss the physics.
And yet that was the science that was used to prove that there was tampering back in January.

He's right. We seem to be easily distracted from real issues by things like Deflategate.

I am really hoping there is a report for every discipline issue moving forward. This insanity had me going back through the archives for the discussions about Bountygate. Imagine the fun that could have been had with a Bountygate report.

It's easier to argue and gripe about things that really don't change the world as opposed to arguing and trying to solve things that really could.

and the NFL is in back channel negotiations, trying to head off an appeal and/or lawsuit. It's like they have no confidence their "fair and just" punishment is anyhting of the sort..

All a matter of persepective: Surprise, surprise, surprise...Bob Kraft and the Patriots get to negotiate a plea deal for Deflategate. - New Orleans Saints - Saints Report - Message Boards (http://saintsreport.com/forums/f2/surprise-surprise-surprise-bob-kraft-patriots-get-negotiate-plea-deal-deflategate-341789/)
Exact same facts spun two different ways depending on perspective.
For what it is worth, I have not read the Wells Report or the Patriots response, and I do not really have an informed opinion on what happened. My gut sense is that the team/coaches were innocent and that punishment (draft picks) was too harsh and that Brady knew just what he was doing and and his punishment was correct. But, again, it isn't like I was there.
Oh, and whatever happened, I still don't trust the NFL to investigate whether water is wet.
I don't know if I've ever seen a bigger disconnect between the apparent incompetence of the head of an organization and the huge success of the organization. Goodell is obviously horrible and in way over his head. But the NFL is still making money hand over fist. The only comparison I can think of is August Busch IV.

Kraft will accept the punishment and not appeal.

Be careful out there, TreeInNewEngland (http://www.osatwork.com/fofc/member.php?u=4147). Things could get kind of crazy.

I guess that long rebuttal of the physics was a load of hot air, then. That's far too large a penalty to accept if they're innocent of deliberate tampering after the inspection.

Sounds more like Goodell explained the facts of life to somebody that needed a reality check.

Wonder what is on Bradys phone that he would rather sit 4 games then turn it over?

Maybe he knows the true identity of left shark, who infiltrated the Seahawk sideline and stole the section of the playbook dealing with goal-line pass calls.

While I disagree with Kraft's decision, (strenuously), I guess I can understand where he's coming from, he truly believes what he says about no team being bigger than the league, but you cannot convince me that this wasn't a premeditated decision and/or fair, and I'm pretty sure it's going to continue with Brady at least.
