View Full Version : How do you win the big games

My team in GML always seems to lose the big games. If it's important, we lose. I've won the division six or seven times. My playoff record is 3-9. If I need to win to clinch the division, I lose. If I need to win to clinch a playoff spot, I lose.
I've looked at my HC and his motivation, because this is supposed to factor into those big games. It's 70. That's great as far as I'm concerned. There's no game planning in the league, so it's not my own fuck ups.
What else is there? Is there anything I can do or change? I'm baffled by how this really good team, can't win when it counts.

Are you the Dallas Cowboys?
Is Peyton Manning your QB?

I always run into the Ben machine. His team is just usually that much better than mine.
edit: Oh, right, you mean also outside of the playoffs. I don't know what the deal is with that. Does motivation have THAT much effect?

@alrith72: funny...and no
@garion: It's my understanding that's what the motivation bar does. Apparently, mine doesn't work. I don't run into Ben in the playoffs because I'm in the other conference. My issue then is with Grid. lol. But it's anytime. Even regular season that this team has a problem with.

How many of those games are played at home?

You roll the dice and if your number comes up, you win!
Seriously...it's the smallest of sample sizes. Just keep doing whatever got you in the big game and just keep doing it and hope you get good dice rolls.

I'd say it's pretty split.
