The first Heisman Trophy winner from Texas A&M (as well as the only Heisman winner that Bear Bryant coached), passed away today at the age of 79.

I first learned about Crow while playing a football game using the 1960 season. His 5.9 ypc lead the league and he was a beast in the game. Read up on him from there. Pretty interesting guy. Sad to hear of his passing. I know he had gotten renewed publicity when Manziel won the Heisman.

My first APBA football game was the 1964 season and Crow had lots of single digits in his passing column. Needless to say, I called a lot of HB option passes with him.

Which reminds me, IT IS LONG PAST THE TIME WHEN JIM SHOULD HAVE ADDED HB OPTION PASSES TO FOF!
