Wow. No love for the Ohio. The French and Indian War was fought primarily over the control over the Forks of the Ohio. It helped lead the western expansion into new territory following the war. It's still a major trade route through the midwest. Other than the Mississippi, I can't think of a more influential river.

Which is a little amusing since the majority of it is in New Hampshire, Vermont, and Massachusetts, but I guess the river was named (a.k.a. misspelled from the Indian name for it) before the colony/state of Connecticut was founded, so the state was actually named after the river rather than what you would assume.

There are places where the Colorado is really good. The Arkansas. There's a couple near Seward Alaska that are prime, etc.
