If you're interested in joining a multi-player league, the RDFL currently has teams waiting for you to take the helm. If you're new to FOF, I think this league is perfect for you:
1) Lots of the GM's are new
2) The GM's who have been in the league for awhile are very helpful (as is the case in all the leagues, really)
3) Many of the teams have been AI run for multiple seasons and have cap space for days, so free agency- here you come! On top of that, most of the AI teams are poised to have a very high pick in the upcoming draft.
Stop in, register for the forum, post something in "prospective GM's" under "General" and tell them Maynard sent you (no reason, I just like sounding like a car salesman). See you there!

Still reading? Great! Allow me to give you a couple tips from experience:
1) When I joined my first league, I immediately traded away my first, second, and third round picks (some of them future picks, too). Well, that is, I traded away as many as I could. Eventually, the board started having meetings about me and had to rightfully put their foot down. It was too late, though. I mortgaged my team's future- and for an 8 and 8 record this season (at best). :banghead:
My point is, I have a draft coming up and with only a 5th round pick as the highlight, the most positive thing I can do with all this regret is to pass it on to you, my young noob: don't trade your picks away. It will feel like the right thing to do at the time, but it won't be.
2) Last month, in another league I'm in, I got into a bidding war over a center. Long story short, I won!! It only cost me $60M... mostly in bonus money. In other words, I did not win. I did this with a couple more players in the same league during the same FA period, and now my team will be bankrupt for the next couple seasons. Tread easy in FA, don't overspend- that center is not going to win me anything but ridicule now.
(both of these stories are completely true, and I'm still playing, so what does that tell you? MP leagues are fun and the community is awesome!)
Please learn from my experience, then you can have a better one! Good luck in whatever league you join- and tell them Maynard sent you! ;)
