So I've noticed for the last couple of weeks, the pc upstairs is randomly turned off when I go to use it the next day. This is upstairs in the guest room.

Also, my wife has noticed her coffee maker has shut off on the same days.

I've noticed one day where we had a power surge and all the devices in the house reset, but otherwise, it seems like it is normally only these two devices.

Is it as simple as minor power surges almost nightly are causing these two devices to shut off, faulty wiring (in separate parts of the house), dying devices, ghosts, or something else.

I assume you don't have any light switches which control power outlets?

Does Unchained Melody come on randomly or do you ever feel an unseen entity guiding you when you touch the mouse on said computer?

The mouse is often less than responsive, and I do wake up covered in clay,

Are the coffee maker and PC on the same circuit?

Fwiw, you are really close and I'd be glad to check it out if you'd like. No charge of course.

They are not.

We just had 2 power surges, and it appears to be the whole neighborhood at the moment, if Facebook is to be believed.

I'm just going to assume Duke energy can't get their shit together.

Service is much worse here in the Ohio/Indiana/Kentucky area since they took over from Cinergy.
