We're back to 14 teams, so we will have 2 divisions with 5 teams and one with 4. Next year we will discuss going to a 2 division format.

Each team will be given $200 for the auction. This money does not carry over to the season so you should spend it all.

Each team will be given $50 for waivers. This dollar amount can be utilized in trades. Waivers will work like this:

In a Free Agents Acquisition Budgets (FAAB) waivers system, each manager receives a dollar amount to place blind bids on waived players. The manager with the highest bid at the end of the waiver period claims that player and that bid amount is deducted from the team's acquisition budget. If multiple managers place an equal bid on a player waiver claims will be processed in reverse order of standings and each successful claim moves a manager to the end of the waiver priority list. Waiver period will last Sunday-Tuesday with final bids in by 11:59 PM EST.


Prior to next season each team will be able to keep up to 3 players (1 QB, 1 RB, 1 WR/TE). If a player is kept their salary will increase by $10 per year. (For example, you bid $50 for Chris Johnson and win the auction for him. If you keep him next year, his price would be $60. If he is kept for a second season in a row, his salary would be $70, etc.) A FA pickup can be used as a keeper for $11. If a player is kept for 3 seasons, that player will become a FA in year 4.

If you have designated your keepers on the Yahoo site, please post them here as well to let me know you have done so. We're not going to do the limits to keepers anymore (regarding how many years you can keep them) because I feel like the added cost of keepers already does the job there. Don't think many people are going to keep a player for more than $70 or so.

Night Marchers will be keeping Golden Tate, Derek Carr, C.J. Anderson.

Also mentioned they prefer the "3 year rule" stay in place. Any one else feel the same? If so, we can keep the rule. The only 2 players ineligible for keeping this year will be A.J. Green and Peyton Manning.

I'll answer a couple of the questions real quick and then get my keepers up tonight.

I'm available almost any evening, except Thursdays.

I'm good with 12 or 14.

I actually like the way the divisions are currently laid out as I think it spreads some of the playoff love around with the divisional competitions but, again, if we go to 2 divisions of 6 or 7 teams, I can roll with that too.

As for starting from scratch, I came into a pre-owned team and was okay with building the roster that way. It's always intriguing to start from scratch but I'm maybe 51% that way and 49% with staying the same.

So in my laid back indecision, I'm good with whatever the group decides (except a Thursday night draft!).

I like to keep the three year rule as well (even though it means I lose Manning).

I am fine with the divisional alignment and point system.

I'm fairly available all weekend, although Saturday would be tough. I would prefer Sunday day or Monday night, but I am pretty open to when I can do it.

Schmidty, you keep up to 3 keepers. Keep in mind, there is a dollar cost attached to them, from last year's auction and waiver wire action. In order to keep a keeper, you must add $10 to his cost from last year. So AP was $55 last year, and he would cost $65 this year.

The cap is $200, so if you kept AP and only AP at $65, you would have $135 to use for the auction. Does that make sense?

In my opinion, looking at your team, I would only keep Luck at $37 (after price increase). The other good players on your team, at the price they will come in at, I don't think are worth the value.

Keeper question - it's unlikely, but if I want to keep Ameer Abdullah next year, would he count as $11 (since I picked him up as an FA), or at $36 (since he was drafted for $26)?
