Yes he has 4 wins, 2 via shootout, but he has been leaky, as has my defense. Another set of back to backs coming up so they'll both get a game here, but Neuvirth might have made a case for more starts going forward as well.

Crazy game. Streit got a game misconduct and major penalty for checking from behind just 9:24 into the first, and I ended up giving pretty much all the extra time to Ghost Bear, because why not. Fatigue all around definitely contributed to the Jets getting goals - but three of their goals were off deflections, two off my guys, so it wasn't Neuvirth's fault at all. Middle of the 2nd period was nutty. Ghost ended up skating a team high 29:42.

Knowing that I have guys I'm going to want to re-sign after this year, I checked the league for interest in Matt Read, he of the 3.625m/year contract for solid if unspectacular (83 overall) middle six play. Along with their original 2nd round pick, he brings his versatility to the Blackhawks in exchange for promising import Artemi Panarin (80 overall). Panarin (0.815m/yr for 2 years) is expected to take Read's spot skating with Couturier and Schenn. He comes to the Flyers with only 2 NHL games under his belt, in which he had 4 points (2g, 2a).
