I think that he is rushing his return too much. He is too anxious to prove that the Reds didn't blow it when they traded for him. I just read an article on ESPN (http://espn.go.com/mlb/news/2003/0512/1552523.html) that said he isn't 100% yet.

Reds team physician Dr. Tim Kremchek, in an interview Tuesday on ESPN Radio, said Griffey is aware that the chances of re-injury are high.

"He knows he has a significant chance of his shoulder popping out again, simply by just swinging the bat," Kremchek said. "He's aware of this, but he's worked very hard working out the last five weeks to get to the point of where he is right now.


Just a foolish move IMHO. He has been stuggling with injuries too much to risk this.

I would also say over on the 3 week pick. Now if you wanted to make that number 5 weeks, I'd have to think about it.

He seems to be the Fred Taylor of MLB. He can get hurt opening a bag of chips. "I hope that was the bag I just heard ripping..."

On sportscenter they said his shoulder could pop out when he swings that bat. When that eventually happens he will be done for the season.

Id give him 2 weeks.

It's like he knew what the over/under was and waited one more day! Like watching a football game and having the losing team kick a meaningless field goal with 3 seconds left to put you over, when you bet the under. They've got to be in on it!
