Ok, round 2. Below is the link to the in-game graphics file. Same as before, if interested, download it and save it in the pictures folder. First though save or rename the original.
I changed everything with the exception of the coach's patches. Will post pics later but for now, for those brave souls, the link is below.
Oh, one last point. It may not be all that for folks whose eye sight is already strained. Some of the text ended up smaller (experience ratings, player ratings, etc.)
I did replace the uniforms with a purple set, seems Jim likes purple. I do have one for every NFL team and some time back thought about starting some for various leagues. May get back to it later.

Having a hard time locating the pictures folder within the solecismic folder. Is it hidden somewhere or within a steam folder?

Lol and here i was thinking we had to apply the bitmap changes via resource patcher when it's simply just located in the "pictures" folder.

There are a couple of files Jim consolidated and now has in the picture folder. Let me tell you now, that menu file is a bitch as he added a lot of screens all on one file.
Luv ya Jim! :)

Nawlins, is there any chance you intend to update the in game scoreboard picture? I have no idea how to change them and to be honest your work is incredible!! Amazing how much the pictures can change the entire game!! Great work!!!

Appreciate the feedback. Yeah its on my list but it will be a challenge trying to figure out how Jim has everything supporting each other.

Thanks so much - this is the look I've been running in 7, and it is great to have it back in 8!

when you say "save to pictures folder".....
is that the same as "copy and paste", like I did with the logos?

Some may not like the simplistic colour scheme but I've been using it since 2K4, I can't for the life of me remember the source (humble apologies if I can't recognise your work). All I've done is add to it but it's pretty much and copy and paste of different gfx mods.
Credit for "Exp - font and colour mod" including "jersey mod" - NawlinsFan
The position groups are all similar colours, RB & FB, TE and WR, Oline, Dline, LBs and DBs. Also the current/future heat colours in the current version is too much for my eyes so I've gone with the one that gets darker (or lighter depending on how you see it) the higher the rating.

Thanks
I still can't find this folder and I'm fairly computer literate. =/
I can't even find it using the windows search bar in windows 10.
I wonder if this is a 'Steam' issue because I have bought two other games via steam and had the same issue of not finding game folders. This year was my first year ever buying anything through steam and I'm, not really all that impressed.

If you can't find steam under program files x86 then you are screwed and folder might be hidden?

Okay I found the folder.
If some of you who are new to Steam or using the Steam app you have on your PC, etc., you can find the Steam folder by opening the Steam application - find your game (in this case 'Front Office Football Eight) - right click 'Front Office Football Eight' - click Properties - click Local Files and then Browse Local Files.
You could just go straight to the 'Program Files(x86)' folder and find Steam that way, but even though I did that, even having selected the 'show hidden folders/content' option, I still wasn't able to locate it. I am wondering if something happened during the installation of the game. Who knows...but either way, there you go (for those having the same issue I had not being to locate the Steam folder in Program Files, even when using the 'search windows bar in Windows 10).

I found it, but not the conventional way.
I think something must have happened during the installation of the game. I will uninstall and then reinstall to see if that will fix the problem.
Thanks for the reply, however.

Oh, I like it! Much improved over the stock graphics. I wonder if you'll be modifying the scoreboard graphic. Compared to the use of the football field graphics in ActionPC Football, the FOF8 field is quite disappointing. Not sure what can be done, though.

I did start working on it (scoreboard) yesterday but it will take some time to get it to a point I'm happy with it. The field will be interesting.

You know, when I answered the form talking about what I prefer in UI I didn't realize that the pastel. Colors I thought I liked were actually bad for readability. FOF8's roster screen is tougher for me to read, which surprised me. I like the coloring but I don't think it helps readability.
As lame as it sounds a basic dark or white scheme that looks like an actual spreadsheet is what I want. Color where you want it (ie. Roster groupings) and bland, easy to read white and black elsewhere.

Is it just the position, ratings and experience color bars? May have an option for you to try.

It comes in the game that way. Hadn't really looked at why.

I still have all of the uni sets I did back in FOF7 for the NFL. Will probably just add the zip file here somewhere so anyone that wants to could use it if interested to change the elements file. If I get time I guess I could do one of elements file for each, would be easy enough to do.
Like WIllie I haven't stumbled across what the second is for.

Sorry, somehow missed your reply the other day.
Yeah, basically the areas where coloring helps visually to differentiate between groupings, etc, is where color make sense.
The calendar, "put yourself in the office" window, etc., can all be bland as hell instead of green. The more it looks like a spreadsheet the happier I will be. Readability is most important, really.
