Dammit, wish I caught this before the patch.
So if there are a number of you looking to create your own plays that best fit an offensive philosophy, the info it shows on the designed play may show up incorrectly for what best fits.
To replicate this do this:
1. Add a new play
2. In the Basic Play Information box, select 005 (Personnel), Empty (Formation), Normal (QB Depth), Run (Play Type).
3. In the Run Play Selections box, select a Run Direction of Left Middle.
4. Go back to the Basic Play Information box and select Pass (Play Type).
5. In the Pass Play Selections, go ahead and select a Primary and Secondary Role and make the rest of them outlet.
6. Take note of the Best Fit it shows (in this case it show Balanced).
7. Save the Play and it will change to a Best Fit of Spread (which is correct).
8. Open the play back up and notice that the Run Play Selections box shows a direction of Left End by default.
While not a huge issue, it will definitely confuse new users. In addition, if you make a new running play and save it, when you add another play it keeps those settings, so if the Run Direction is anything other than Left End or Right End the Best Fit will not display correctly when switching to a Play Type of Pass.
For now, please make sure that box is set to Left End if you want to display the correct info for Pass Plays (does not appear to affect Play Action).
