but i dont see any historical rosters. Could you please link to where I could find those.

No... Not at the moment.

There is for FOF7 and you should be able to convert it pretty easily.

I wanted to ask what the issue is with the lack of FoF 8 updated rosters.

I do realize that the creator of the game has time constraints and did just get out of a long involved partnership with OOTP that did not work out :( . But, I don't see any community created rosters anywhere either.

I will be the first to admit that I do not have the skill to construct updated rosters, but I know there are other players with much more skill than I have.

Is the coding for creating a new roster that difficult? Is it proprietary and unavailable as "open source"? Is it just too much of a project for one person to enter? (We are talking close to 1700 players every year.

I wish I had the wherewithal to do it, but I don't. My hats off to anybody who has ever devoted the time necessary.

I think it's two things, P34:

-it is hard to create them, it seems, rather labor intensive and subject to criticism; but also

-this game just doesn't really live in the lane of "let's sim the current NFL" - it has way more appeal (to its core audience) as a long term dynasty style game, where the roster set you start with fades away fairly quickly

It's never, ever been a strong suit of this game or its community. I have played with the user-create player sets, and those from the developer, and I see the attraction, but it's not a core asset. I realize that's not what you'd prefer to hear, but I think that's basically the lay of the land.
