World Cup of College Football - 1996

Inspired by Collegesportsfan's dynasty I decided to do something semi similar. I picked the 1996 season because, well no real reason other than I already had the teams picked out. I will be using Second and Ten Football to sim the games and going with a world cup format. There will be 32 teams to start and each team will play the other team in their group once. The games are being played on a neutral field like the World Cup is for the most part. The top two teams in each group will then advance to the 16 team tournament. I used the end of season rankings for 1996 and used the tp 8 teams to start each group. Then I added the additional 24 teams by using a random number generator.

I am hoping to track the top single game performances in a few categories, tournament records for rushing, passing, receiving yards etc. So let's move on to the groups.
