I understand that roster decisions is the hardest part to program and why people play multiplayer. However, I wanted to share one poor example I saw.

The best RB in free agency is a 55/55 5th year player. The year before he signed a reasonable 3 yr 28 million dollar contract. The total cap is 253 million. Last year he ran for 1279 yards. The only back on the team is rated 32/44 and average 2.92 ypc.

It isn't a cap issue as the team who released him now has 63 million in cap room and only 29 players under contract afterward releasing 9 players and generating almost 25 million in dead money.

Any thought on why they would cut him. He was also released the year before after running for 1189 yards.

He now wants only 10 million for a three years deal. I'm go into try to sign him. And even he is a backup for three years that's a good deal.

The AI seems afraid of the age effect on RBs.

So, the player ran for over 1100 yards that first year. Then his ratings dropped and he split time in year 2 running for under 4 ypc and i released him in year 3. I still think I would not have released him when the Chargers did.

I always get the feeling the game goes by bars and not by stats. The AI saw that he was a 5th year RB and cut him before his bars dove off a cliff. Or it was simply a matter of cap management and he's a cap victim since he was a 5th year RB. Dunno.
