Don't let any tanks hit you on your way to the beach/barbecue. :) Please try to remember the real reasons we celebrate today!

Wait a minute, I was like I didn't post this today...The reasons we need to remember why we have our independence couldn't be more clearer than they are this year, I don't want to have to celebrate, Happy Dictatorship Day next year!

Today is clearly Veterans/Memorial Day.

Yeah, it doesn't seem to be an annual thread so picked the (yours) most recent version.

Don't be one of those people that wakes up tomorrow with less fingers than they had today.

And of course, let's not forget who really is GOAT.
Joey Chestnut chomped his way to the top of Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest again Monday, winning a record-setting 15th victory at the annual Fourth of July competition.
The 37-year-old gobbled down 63 hot dogs and buns in 10 minutes, a far cry from the record 76 he devoured last year.
The number still eviscerated that of Chestnut’s closest competitor, Geoffrey Esper, by 20 dogs.

Ukrainian's singing Star Spangled Banner. A little weird, a little cool ... but good propoganda. Closing statement at about 2:25.
The armed forces of Ukraine singing the American national anthem for Independence Day : ukraine (https://www.reddit.com/r/ukraine/comments/vreesy/the_armed_forces_of_ukraine_singing_the_american/)

Good luck.
Steak, salmon and corn on the cobb for me.
Salmon was perfect. Ribeye was medium but I was targeting for medium rare+. Green bean casserole was solid. Corn on the cobb (boiled) was disappointing, bought it from Kroger and it seemed off.
Looking forward to neighborhood fireworks tonight.

We hiked the Kalalau Trail from Ke'e Beach to Hanakapi'ai Beach and back today. A 4th of July I won't forget. It was about 4 miles round trip, rained a good bit and was hella muddy/slippery up and down but totally worth it.
