Welp, it's looking like another Australia-New Zealand final.

Jeez, how did New Zealand get so good at ODIs?

I'm betting England though, too many injuries for the Aussies.

Holy fucking shit, what a day in england

The Wimbledon Final, the F1 GP, and of course, THAT Cricket World Cup Final.

Gutted for New Zealand, it was a super harsh way to lose, but they knew what they had to do :(

Those two sixes involving Stokes (the fielder stepping on the boundary for a six and the ball hitting the bat on the throw back in and running for four) and then the fact the game ended tied twice, are just out of the realm of belief. There was also a 2 in the last over that should have been an easy 1 but the fielder didn't see the ball in the sun and so didn't charge it.

I really, really didn't like the strategy on the last couple of balls by New Zealand. I think they'd seen England do it successfully, but I think you hit both deliveries as hard as you can and go for the boundary to win outright. Hitting it to an excellent fielding team and just hoping they screw up the run out just doesn't seem to make much sense to me. But an absolutely sickening way to lose no doubt.

And like you say, what an unbelievable day of sport all around.

That was an incredible final. Stokes delivered the way nobody else could.
