I Miss My Ron Guidry Ball Glove

Watching the Cards-Cubs. Commercil comes on about a grandpa with an old glove that is just fine. Made me think of my favorite glove as a kid. A Ron Guidry . I loved that glove. Kind of big, but I was a catcher and used to big gloves. I play ed a lot of sand lot and tennis court baseball with that glove. I lost it. I miss it.

My current glove is a Fernando Valenzuela model that I've kept in pretty good shape for 30+ years

Believe it or not (and I googled an image to be absolutely sure I wasn't crazy), that's what I had.

I had a Fernando glove as my first glove. I was so proud of that glove. I felt like I could have been part of the Dodgers with that glove.

I had two gloves I used through middle and high school. A Jim Rice and a Dale Murphy glove...and I'm pretty sure the Dale Murphy glove turned into a Rickey Henderson glove years later, because my brother bought it and it looked exactly the same to me.

I had a Rocky Colavito glove. It was from the flea market. After that gave way, I had a glove that was once red, white, and blue but the blue had become more green. I can't remember if that had a player associated with it. It was also from the flea market.
