Get used to it. He'll be competing in the very next season.

Ep one was kinda dull. I don't know how this will work out. Maybe I'm just sick of Survivor finally. At first I was rooting for Elaine but after she started crying at tribal I couldn't care less.
I think I like watching rob and sandra comment on things going on. Especially at tribal :)
Kinda funny

This cast seems to be solid but I worry they're going to waste to much time on the Rob and Sandra segment each week and not enough time fleshing out the tribe dynamics of each tribe. The most boring part of this episode was the Rob and Sandra part. I thought it dragged to much.
I came up with some post premiere episode power rankings for fun. No spoilers but I did take into account their Survivor bios, pregame interviews with Josh Wigglers, the edit, and Ronnie's exit interview on RHAP. If there are spoilers out there, I am not spoiled.
Power Rankings
1. Tommy (Vokai Tribe)
He impressed me the most in the Josh Wiggler's pre-game interviews. I think he had the best edit among those on the Vokai Tribe. The edit showed him connecting with several different players on his team. He's a tall athletic guy though so that along with being very likable could make him an early post merge target.
2. Missy (Lairo Tribe)
I think she has the best story on the cast if she makes it to the end. I recommend listening to her Josh Wiggler pregame interview. I don't think it means much anymore, but she also seemed to get a winner's quote in episode 1.
I got a sense from pregame interviews that Missy, Chelsea, Elizabeth and Elaine are particularly strong women physically relative to other seasons. Missy is a former division one college athlete, Elizabeth is a former Olympic swimmer, Elaine played softball I think (could be wrong), and I believe Chelsea said she joined multiple gyms in preparation for Survivor. These four women also all seem like they'd be very easy to get along with. If their tribe doesn't get Pagonged I think their alliance could solidify and become quite formidable. I think after episode 1 though you have to be concerned they could get Pagonged.
3. Molly (Vokai Tribe)
I thought her edit was good in the premiere given that she was on the winning tribe. She had that clam scene with Jack along with some commentary on Dan. She seems like she could be a narrator this season.
4. Chelsea (Lairo Tribe)
Chelsea seems to be the biggest Survivor fan in a season with a lot of Survivor fans based on pregame interviews. She immediately recognized Josh Wiggler and was familiar with the content he puts out. Interesting enough, she said she made to Survivor casting finals something like 5 or 6 times before being cast. She seems like one of the potential narrators this season. Missy and Chelsea are probably the two people I'm rooting for the most so far though that's primarily based on pregame interviews.
5. Jamal (Volkai Tribe)
He didn't get much content in the premiere but he got some solid second person viability.
6. Jack (Volkai Tribe)
An interesting note is that he was the male alternate for Edge of Extinction. I wasn't a fan of him in the preseason, but he seemed to be well liked by his tribe-mates in the premiere.
7. Lauren (Volkai Tribe)
She's supposedly the first person to ever be cast after being introduced to Jeff Probst as a good person to be on Survivor. She seemed really likable in her Josh Wiggler interview but she didn't get much content in the premiere.
8. Jason (Vokai Tribe)
Jason didn't impress me much in the preseason but his episode 1 reminded me of Nick's first episode in David vs. Goliath. He could go soon but I think he has the potential to make a deep run or even win based on his premiere episode.
9. Janet (Volkai Tribe)
She had a very good premiere episode. It seems like older women in more recent seasons have been the victim of early vote outs but Janet gave her tribe a lot of reasons not to vote her out early.
10. Elizabeth (Lairo Tribe)
I doubt she wins but she was a beast in the first challenge and should be even a bigger beast in any swimming challenge given that she's a former Olympic swimmer. She should be safe at least until a vote or two before the merge as long as she doesn't get swap screwed.
11. Elaine (Lairo Tribe)
I think she'll be around for a while but given how over the top her edit was in the premiere I have a hard time seeing her win.
12. Tom (Lairo Tribe)
He seems like a likable guy and we were shown his alliance with Vince and Elaine. He also seemed to be in a lot of conversations in the premiere. I think he's safe for now.
13. Dean (Lairo Tribe)
He was on the right side of the vote but also borderline invisible in episode 1.
[B]Potential Episode 2 Boots
14. Vince (Lairo Tribe)
I thought he, Kellee, or Noura were the most likely be voted out first based on pregame bios and interviews. He seems to have meshed well with his tribe though so I think I may be wrong on him. However, he was the decoy vote in the premiere so that's not great (i.e. he may be the most expendable member of his alliance to his alliance-mates).
15. Aaron (Lairo Tribe)
He was on the wrong side of the vote and the preview for next episode did not look good for Aaron. He'd be lower but I don't know that Lairo gets rid of one of their strongest two males if they go to tribal council next episode.
16. Kellee (Volkai Tribe)
She was getting over a cold and had a cough upon entering the game which could be give off the perception of being weaker. Also, Dan was being gross in the premiere, but there is a lot of close contact with people on Survivor and if she is uncomfortable with others touching her she may go out quickly.
17. Dan (Volkai Tribe)
I didn't find him particularly likable in his pregame interview and the premiere was unkind to him.
18. Karishma (Lairo Tribe)
Based on her pregame bio she seems like a very strong willed and high achieving person. I think those personality types have a tendency to rub people the wrong way on Survivor. She also doesn't seem as connected to the other four women on the tribe and Ronnie indicated in his exit interview with Rob Cesterino that he was most aligned with Aaron and Karishma.
19. Noura (Volkai Tribe)
This isn't based on anything in episode 1, but she came across very poorly in her pregame interview with Josh Wiggler. She essentially talked non stop to Wiggler without giving him a chance to really ask any questions. She also seemed to be going nuts in the preview for episode 2. I just don't see her lasting very long.

That was a tough episode to watch tonight. I don't think Survivor has ever broke the 4th wall before.
I feel like Missy and Elizabeth crossed a line that shouldn't ever be crossed. Shame on Dan and Aaron as well.
Props to Janet, Kellee, and Jamal on how they handled things.

Just finished watching it. And after reading some of the cast members & even Jeff Probst try to "explain the situation" has only made it much worse in my mind. There are no winners in this, and I'd be surprised if there isn't additional fallout. While it was an interesting intersection between reality and the Survivor fantasy, by no means was it entertaining. Just wow...

A lot to unpack with that and makes me wonder if they make changes in the future IE separate sleeping areas, etc...
Was interesting explaining it to our 9 year old who watches with us.
I thought Dan was pretty sleazy. Was he told not to be so handsy before production stepped in? I know that we saw Kellee flinch big time when he touched her hair the one time, he should get the point. I'm glad that she did take her concerns to production and that it was dealt with by production, and hopefully this stopped the behavior.
To me it's when Missy and Elizabeth took that behavior and made a mockery of the #metoo movement that the entire season took a turn for the bad. I was extremely uncomfortable watching this. It looks like it also tanked Janet's game as she did the right thing and came to their defense, going against what her correct game strategy should have been, and then looked like a fool during tribal council.
I also thought it was so wrong that Jamal was so well spoken and trying to be understanding from the male perspective to the women's plight, and was voted out. All the while, they kept on showing Aaron with this smirk on his face that made him appear completely evil.
Essentially, everybody in the episode that did the right thing was punished, and all the bad people are still in the game.

Well that sucked.
I try really hard to avoid spoiler sites, but I know some people here dabble in them. If anyone knows, can you give me a (spoiler-tagged) yes/no on whether Dan goes on to win or make the final?

got kicked out after previous warnings for touching a female crew member on the leg (he said was accidental, but they decided enough was too much).
