Funny, I caught a 10:30 a.m. showing today (I was one of four people in the theater!). I didn't think it was that bad. Sappy, yes. Predictable, yes. But for mindless comedy, it was worth my $3.50.
Actually, the scenes involving Stephen Carell (the anchor who's also on the Daily Show) were probably worth $3.50 by themselves.

The Stephen Carrell stuff was great I thought.
As for the rest of it, bleh...it wasn't horrible, but not a good movie.

Not to mention Bell and Aniston adding beauty to the screen. :)

$7.75 for an evening showing here, adn the theatres are absolute crap. $6.00 for an afternoon show
I didn't think the movie was that bad, and it had some funny parts. I was thrown off a little by the morals being portrayed and how God functions.

I saw it yesterday, and it was ok. I was hoping for better, but I'm not disappointed ($5.50 for me on student discount day) in the money I spent. And damn Bell is hot :)

There's a theater in a small town about 30 minutes from where I live that costs $1.50 to see a movie on a Saturday night, that's where my friends and I go to see a movie.

Cam,
I'm surprised you would see this one, as Aniston is on the Boycott Hollywood list. What gives?

I've talked about this before, and I always make the point about Being John Malkovich. If you're boycotting movies because of the stars political views, do you not watch the movie because John Cusack is on the list, or do you watch the movie because of John Malkovich's defending of the president and his comments about the French?
I think you have to make a decision as to who's annoyed you enough for you to stay away. My list is pretty short. Michael Moore, Tim Robbins, Susan Sarandon, Janeane Garofolo... just the biggies. I've read Aniston's comments (at least those made on the record), and her chief offense seems to be calling the President a "fucking idiot".
I don't agree with her, but that's not enough to keep me from watching a movie with her in it.
I mean, if that were the case, I'd have to stop watching Office Space as well.
