updating base defense

I haven't played this in a long time but I'm getting back into it now. I just drafted my squad and it seems that we're automatically set for a base 34 defense, but my preference is 43. I know it's got to be something obvious, but I just don't see a place to go and change it. Can someone direct me on the path to update it? Thanks.

Defensive coordinator dictates your defensive front, you have this information in the help file.
