Thought I'd share this guy, seems like a fun case study:

The setup:
WR, slots at more or less my WR4, and rotates into a few formations
It's a no-injury league, so more predictable than most
He's a guy with 72 GD and 43 BPR, but only 14 courage and a void at RR

Anyway, the stats:
We targeted him 41 times - so he got 2-3 targets a game, okay
Posted 347 yards, for a very respectable 8.5 yards/target, better than team avg
Doesn't seem to be too slanted by a big play or two, one 49yd play as max
...nothing too shocking thus far, just a productive backup, but...

And here's the reveal:
He only caught 13 passes. On 41 targets. But for 27 yards a pop.

He has a whooping 77% in +20 catches over total (10 over 13). Just compared it to the league leader in YPC, he sits at 28%. What in the world has this guy done?

I mean... the working answer simply has to be "small sample size." But that's a crazy season.

Anyone remember Chris Sanders (http://www.nfl.com/player/chrissanders/2502819/profile) from the Titans? He's the first guy I could think of as a real world comp. I played fantasy FB back then, and he was that weird guy who'd have a game stat line like 2 catches for 94 yards and 2TD, making him more valuable than the starring RB who got 27 carries.

Wild season, would be tedious but trying to make specific deep plays for him in the game plan could yield crazier results. If he could maintain something close with more deep targets he’d be the stud of role players
