Football Manager 2022 Release Date Announced

I am still all in on FM.

SI has announced the game will be out on Nov 9th.

Haven't bought the last few years, just not enough time to play. Thinking about diving in this year and the site linked is offering FM for $43.99, $5.50 less than the Steam presale price. Better in my pocket than someone else's.

Plenty of time to keep checking out the prerelease reports before deciding :)

Reasonably unimpressive list of features so far. Although I have been waiting for the opportunity to customize my managers eyebrows for years - said nobody ever.

I'd be curious to see what the new Recruitment (formerly Scouting) looks like. It's the one reason I'm still on 16 - I hated every year's scouting after that.

Well that's good news indeed. Nothing in the list of features was dragging me in, although I would like my manager avatar to wear and waistcoat.

I dont think I've ever played an FM game less than I did FM2021. Not sure if that's because of the game, or just that I'm so damn old I've grown out of it.

Feature list is bare but it's a pretty deep game that I almost don't want to see them add a bunch of new time sucks into the game.

I've played it less and less each season. Not that it's bad, but it just feels real tedious to me. I guess there are ways to automate some of the tasks (?) I should look into. But I'd be clicking around for hours and realize I finished one match.

I'm quite happy with FM21 so I don't think I'll be getting the new version this year. Of course, I say that every year so we'll see.

I get it on Gamepass so will definitely play it. It is still the best sports sim made. I just don't have attention span anymore to finish more than 3-4 seasons.
