Yeah, based on the posts and the timing, it sounds as though several of these "users" are in fact coming from one IP. I'll also give odds that the person behind the IP is a frequent visitor of this board, perhaps even a person who has had their IP banned before.

You can ban an individual IP address without harming anyone else. If all these posts are coming from the same IP address banning it instead of each individual screen name will curtail his trolling until he can log-in from another computer.

The reason astralhaze was inadvertantly affected by the HM mess was because SD started banning IP addresses that started with a particular set of numbers (which generally indicates a set of addresses at a particular company). SD was trying to prevent HM from posting from multiple computers at work (which would have similar but unique IP addresses), but since astralhaze also works at Dell he was affected by the blanket IP ban.

It isn't just one person. It is at least 2 people. Because I happen to know them personally. I'm trying to put a stop to it. And one of them happens to also live at my house. So, if you check the IP addresses of some of the names they will most likely be the same as mine. But I ask you mods don't do any banning here, I'd like to be able to continue my FOFC Racing Dynasty and if this IP is banned there goes my access to it. I don't think you'll have to worry about stuff happening from my IP address, I think I have straightened out that situation, but the other one is still not straightened out yet.

You're right that if someone wants it bad enough we can't really do anything to keep them away... they win.

But you kind of have to ask yourself what exactly do they win? Seems like they'd have to be pretty a big loser to go through all that trouble just to annoy some people they've never even met. I guess if they absolutely have no life and need to get attention by trying to ruin an online discussion board every little bit helps though...
