Send me, QuikSand, a PM with a number, by the time I get around to sorting through them next Friday evening (April 21). Just a number.

I will sort through them all, and will award the glorious title of WINNER to each and every person who submits the exact number that sits as the median number from among all those I receive.

Well, damn - I failed on that account. Should have colluded to do better. I just had 2 numbers in mind when I saw the question and went with one. Figured that IWS type rules were just understood.

I'm really confused the point of this experiment but since QS seems to be encouraging table talk, and I'm a blabbermouth who want some boring fun, so here goes:

I was thinking either 5 or 50 would be nice median numbers. But 5 seemed too low so I went with 50.

I also thought about lying and saying I had put 100 to try and get more people higher since he seems to be putting his thumb on the scale for 21. But that seemed way too easy to have more people do 100 and then I'd get overshot. And, let's be honest - I'm not very good at trickery or hiding it. So I'll do better by playing it straight.

Congrats to NobodyHere, Fidatelo, and britrock88 for gathering the answer to life, the universe, and everything... or at least the median answer, this time.

Interesting that several submissions were posted publicly, but none of the 42s.

Also some posts here didn't result in submissions - I'll suggest maybe they were strategic attempts to see if they could gin up conversation but then follow any emerging consensus later (a smart strategy of you really cared) but then were revealed to not care.

Anyway, I'd play if someone else were to start a round two.
