Has anyone else noticed backup QBs showing up in the blocking stats? I noticed during a game that Nathan Peterman gave up a sack... How's he getting into the game in position to give up a sack???

game result is 45:17 - maybe there was just a change at Quarterback because the game got out of hand?

But why are any quarterbacks blocking to the extent they are allowing sacks? I can't imagine this was occurring in past versions

Was there a block kick? I'm wondering if the QB is getting a sack allowed in that scenario?

The starting QBs for this game were Kirk Cousins and Tyler Bagent... With the game out of hand, Justin Fields got subbed in. Notice that Tyler Bagent appears in the blocking stats with 20 run plays and 38 pass plays. And he ended up giving up a sack too. If I remember correctly, both Peterman and Bagent's sacks allowed were when Fields was the QB, during garbage time... I'll poke around and see if I can find any other game logs that would indicate what position they were playing -- I seem to remember looking at those in FOF8...

The lines from the Play by Play log for the backup QBs allowing sacks:

2-8-CHI25 (4Q: 08:37) Tyson Bagent sacked by OLB Patrick Jones for a loss of 8 yards. Sack allowed by Nathan Peterman.

2-8-MIN32 (4Q: 00:41) Justin Fields sacked by OLB Marcus Davenport for a loss of 6 yards. Sack allowed by Tyson Bagent.

I've looked back through all my other game books... nothing looks odd with regards to the blocking stats from any of the rest of them.

could have something to do with this bug which is under investigation maybe?

Pre-season or late-game blowout play-calling substitutions may not work once second-stringers are called for, and some of the substitutions may not be realistic and/or are properly reflected on play diagrams (the game tries to play everyone and rest starters - deferred to near future)

Likely.

I should mention that qbs blocking is a known substitution bug in FOF8. It was rare, but it did happen.
