What's the easiest way to do this? Wanna get into this tomorrow but sometimes I'm on my laptop and sometimes my desktop...how can I easily play the same game on whichever system I happen to be using? This doesn't support steam cloud saves correct?

You could copy over the universe folder.

The simplest way would be to copy your universe folder to a google drive whenever you save and quit, then you can paste it into the folder if you've changed devices when you play next.
The default path for saved universes (in windows) is:
C:\Users\[yourusername]\AppData\Local\Solecismic Software\Front Office Football Nine\saved_games

I am not able to test this now, but in the recent past when I had left a Steam game open on my office desktop I have been able to stream it to another computer in my home via Steam. Essentially, you're able to play the game while it runs on another in your home network. I don't remember setting this up - it just worked one time when I was trying to open this game up on another pc (where it was still running to my chagrin), which Steam doesn't allow AFAIK.

I don't know if this is helpful to the cranky Mac users ;)
You could have a Windows gaming PC and stream games to a Mac or Linux system.

I just tried it and I think because my desktop is hardwired and my laptop is on WiFi they aren't seeing each other.

Sounds like it should work as long as they are using the same network, ie your laptop isn't connected to the guest network or something. Results sound mixed, if you have a good wifi signal I wouldn't think it'd be an issue. I can help test this some has I have a mini pc with wireless upstairs.

I just put my desktop on WiFi and they now see each other, and am given the option to "Stream" the game on my laptop. However when I click connect nothing happens. Going to test this further.

Good luck. I was able to stream on my mini-pc (on wireless) upstairs from my hard-wired desktop downstairs. It runs in a sort of full-screen mode so it's not super pretty. I don't remember that being an issue with Football Coach: College Dynasty

Seems like Remote Play Steam to Steam is kind of hit or miss, but there is a windows SteamLink app that worked! You pair the two manually and then it seemed to work without issue. This is going to make playing much easier so I don't have to always sit at my desktop to keep playing the same universe!
Edit: Also works if my desktop stays hardwired. Wish I'd have known about this app before.

You could also copy universe file to the cloud via Dropbox which is pretty fast. I think it copies faster than anything else I've tried.

This steam link app seems like the ticket. No copying, just playing all off my desktop client

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if you turn off your desktop pc you wouldn't be able to use that when you power on your laptop only.

Correct. The game is actually running on the host PC and you're controlling it from the client PC. Not an issue for me as my PC never gets turned off.
