Issue with 9.1

I modified csv with team nicknames for 32-18 and 32-17 and have tried 4 or 5 times to create new universe with default settings and everytime team nicknames are not the "real" ones. I had previously created a 9.0f uni and had worked perfectly.

Any insight what my issue is?

I believe, whenever you start a new universe you need to take the modified logos and put them in the saved game folder for that universe in the logos folder.

It was the team nicknames that I'm wanting to update and had successfully with 9.0f but not showing up in 9.1 even tho the .csv file still is showing the real nicknames.

You need to modify the "team_info.csv" file. This file is divided by year so if you want correct team names in your 2024 season you have to rename all of the teams for that year.

I'm going to guess you modified the "default_team.csv"? If you're starting a 2024 game this file isn't used for team names as noted is the quote from the text file.

Information used to create teams when starting a new league, and no specific single-year configuration is used. Teams are connected to a specific league structure instead. This information is not used when starting a new league when random team hosts are selected.

I got stuck on this too last year when the game came out. I think I tried creating a league 3 or 4 times before finding out how to do it from someone else on the forums.

At least I hope that is the issue and this sorts you out.

Dola: Don't forget about the three letter abbreviations for each team. I think the Rams and Chargers are the only ones that are must changes. In the file they are "LAG" and "LAL" to match the fictional names that come with the game. If you forget it won't hurt anything other than seeing the wrong abb. in game. But once you start your game I don't think you can go back and fix them.

I'm not seeing the Update in the game.
I'm still only seeing 2023

I assume everyone got an update in Steam, I don't believe I have.

Can someone please confirm or tell me where the files are?
