The Indianapolis Colts are unstoppable. The talk of the town, the toast of the league. He's Indiana Jones now, dropping dimes all over the place. JT is reborn as OJ and slashes through the defense carrying a forgotten state and fantasy owners' dreams with him. It's destiny.

It's been a while since we did this, but I'll set an over/under line on how the season goes from here with the Colts.

The line is Colts + 3 1/2 points in the AFC Wildcard round. Do you BUY or SELL the Colts in this bet today? If they earn the bye week, it's a win; if they fail to make the playoffs it's a loss, and otherwise it's just a point spread bet against whomever they face in the opening round.

Place your bets without delay. Poll closes before Week 4 gametime.

Sorry for the apparently unfixable typo in the poll phrasing, it's 3.5 or 3 1/2 points.

Indiana Jones is too good of a nickname to bet against

I probably just jinxed it, but I'm in on Indiana Jones.

I think they make it, but they will cool off.

I remember the days when Colts stood for Count On Losing This Sunday.

I think this mostly comes down to will they win the AFC South. They already have a three game lead on the Texans and Titans, so we may already be down to whether or not they can win the division over the Jaguars. They've both played a pretty weak first three, and they share almost all of the same opponents through the rest of the season, so there's no obvious difference in SoS.

I started with an obvious no, but after thinking about it sure, Colts +3.5

I felt this was a really good writeup about why Jones & the Colts are working: Yes, Daniel Jones Looks Great. And Yes, This Success May Be Here to Stay. - The Ringer (https://www.theringer.com/2025/09/25/nfl/daniel-jones-indianapolis-colts-quarterback-reclamation-shane-steichen)

Short version: Steichen knows what he's doing and just needed a QB who could execute a gameplan (that's been tailored to his strengths and weaknesses) without shitting the bed on the regular.

Without saying it (in the article) it really underscores how unprepared for the NFL Richardson was (well, and is).

i'm fading them, even assuming they win the rotten division they likely get a home game draw against a good team like Chiefs or Chargers... i'll take the unknown over the paper tiger

Someone in the Chiefs, Chargers, Ravens, Steelers, Bengals group, yep; that's my general thinking too.

It’s possible I’ve misjudged the Colts.

Having a good playcaller is the new having a great QB.

I would add a small asterisk to this that says some QBs just don't have it. No amount of good play calling is going to fix Anthony Richardson.

Yeah, you need someone who isn't going to actively destroy the gameplan.

Speaking of which, does any team give Anthony Richardson a second shot? Based on the evidence you'd have to think there's not even a reclamation project there, but plenty of GMs/owners make stupid decisions.

I would consider it in the right situation (not that I claim to know what that would be). Who was interested in giving Jones another shot prior to this season? After Goff left the Rams everyone *knew* he was done and never very good to begin with.

If the options you have aren't working, it's the kind of move I would try.

Feeling pretty good about this at the moment.

Funny how rapidly we moved from you can’t win with Daniel Jones… To you can’t win without Daniel Jones.

This feels like karma for Indiana making the CFP. You can't have both.

Maybe this means that IU is winning the Nation Championship?

Maybe we have been focusing on the wrong all time great QB potentially cursing his former team that did him wrong.

I had to look it up, because I knew it had been awhile since he played. 2020. 5 years. That's crazy.

I could be wrong but my understanding was he was a high school football coach at one time after his retirement. I could probably look it up later but I was wondering if he’s still doing that?
