My guess is that you were sort of seer-scanned. Alan likes to have semi-seers in his games, and that's my guess as to what happened to you.

I don't know anything, though. I suppose it could have been malicious.

that's neither here nor there. we can discuss it outside the confines of this game sometime soon, or after this game is over and i'll explain what I meant. But basically it doesn't matter, because i'm not the type of person to hold onto those negative emotions and let them consume me. We're good man. :)

DaddyTorgo has clearly indicated that you investigated an item. I would expect you could answer "yes/no" about if it was an item that would identify him as a hacker.

I wasn't pushing this angle at all earlier because it didn't impact me and was willing to give some clearance to all parties involved once the explanations were offered. I went as far as to back DaddyTorgo as judge candidate. I'm not looking to fry him here (particularly if he isn't the guy who hacked me), but I am obviously interested in learning who was poking around my systems.

If you feel that the info (yes/no answer) is on a need-to-know basis and I don't need to know that is your choice. Just don't expect me to be pleased with that answer after you both have come as far as you already have with handing out information.

st.cronin 02-27-2007 06:25 PM

Can somebody other than Blade or DT take a stab at interpreting their interactions for me?

DaddyTorgo 02-27-2007 06:28 PM

hoops...i'll answer that, although I suspect you'd rather blade's response.

it was nothing that could identify me as a hacker. It was something that one...puts on. (trying to respect blade's desire not to say anything concrete)

and it wasn't me who hacked your computer.

DaddyTorgo 02-27-2007 06:28 PM

dammit...i called you hoops and I meant to type hoopsguy there. Damm no editing

Outside of liking my privacy and my freedom, and detesting those who infringe upon them, I don't have anything to hide. The fact that someone was snooping around my stuff doesn't necessarily indicate to me that they had the best intentions of the city at heart.

I considered your position for about 30 seconds before I reported it to the police. If cyber-crime is how we self-police our citizens, then that is not a government that I will defend.

I'm just glad that wasn't the proposed answer to the question "Can someone guess as to what was found on Hoopsguy's computer?"

that's all i'm saying about it, don't worry. Just figured that would be enough to let hoops know that it wasn't something I could have used to hack his computer.

st.cronin 02-27-2007 06:32 PM

Putting together what Blade, Anxiety, and DaddyTorgo have said in the last few posts, I am going to guess that Blade was fondling DT's jockstrap.

And hoops, I understand your position. I'm just taking a guess, that's all. What happened to you doesn't seem like a "mafia" type crime. But I suppose there may be other citizens, not aligned with the mafia, who we don't want loose.

It does give that impression to me Jonathan... I was sitting here thinking similar thoughts.

I appreciate the feedback. And I would have been fine with a "yes/no" answer from you as well in order to respect your privacy. Although you are correct that the vouching from Blade6119 in regards to that item would carry more weight.

We know we have good, bad and neutrals in the city. I would suspect that the hacker (who I imagine is the one who 'investigated' hoo's computer) would be in the neutral category.

hoopsguy 02-27-2007 06:37 PM

If I had my druthers on who to bully around here, Blade6119 would be near the top of the list. I've got no beef with the guy who I voted for Judge, so long as I have reason to believe he isn't after me lucky charms (argh).

DaddyTorgo 02-27-2007 06:38 PM

sorry blade. You know me. I just get scared when I have no cool powers to protect me.

DaddyTorgo 02-27-2007 06:38 PM

HOOPSGUY IS THE CITY LEPRECHAUN!!! THAT'S IT!!!

You and i both know you just manipulated him into giving info i wouldnt...you can say what you will, but you did. It was a good play for you, no doubt...but dont try to act like you didnt

ntndeacon 02-27-2007 06:39 PM

well Hoopsguy, iam sure someone will look into who did go into your computer.

ntndeacon 02-27-2007 06:40 PM

my first thought is to trust Blade in this game...and since I do trust him, I also trust Daddy Torgo to some degree.

st.cronin 02-27-2007 06:41 PM

Looks like pretty useless info from where I'm standing.

Me too. Day 1 hints always go over my head.

ntndeacon 02-27-2007 06:42 PM

I will agree that my vote was a revenge vote for the vote Tyrith put on me. (i figured he would as he has said as much in previous dealings)

ntndeacon 02-27-2007 06:44 PM

my comment on Blade is nothing more than a guess. the statement before that wasn't.

When Giants Clash!

DaddyTorgo 02-27-2007 06:45 PM

oy vey.

In that case I suppose not being a jerk demands that I

UNVOTE NTNDEACON

and hmmm

st.cronin 02-27-2007 06:50 PM

Very interesting day 1, no?

DaddyTorgo 02-27-2007 06:51 PM

anyone have a vote-count?

DaddyTorgo 02-27-2007 07:02 PM

no one really jumps out as suspicious, but i'm loath to not place a vote, I have a feeling Alan has some mechanism in place that seriously discourages that from his hinting.

that being said

VOTE MARATHONER

thanks to random.org

i'm going to get a coffee

st.cronin 02-27-2007 07:08 PM

ugh, I hate that vote DT

very definition of a throwaway

Swaggs 02-27-2007 07:10 PM

Checking in... just got back from work.

I think I'll have time to catch up from page 7.

We just have to remember he did it later, because often times that's just an excuse to not get your name involved in trouble.

LoneStarGirl 02-27-2007 07:10 PM

well american idol is on so i won't be back till later.

SnDvls 02-27-2007 07:12 PM

dinner time be back in a bit

Jonathan Ezarik 02-27-2007 07:18 PM

Anyone know what we need to get today for a lynch? I looked over the rules again, but I must be missing it.

Jonathan Ezarik 02-27-2007 07:20 PM

While I'm still not satisfied with having Anxiety as our judge, I did vote for him. I was thinking about voting for DaddyTorgo, but I don't like his vote against Marathoner.

Person with most votes generally wins the lynch. However do not be suprised if there are other things that factor into the equation causing the top vote getter to not end up being lynched. You'll know for sure when you read it in the papers.

hoopsguy 02-27-2007 07:22 PM

Someone out there has a very aggrevating sense of humor. I'm expecting to be in the news again shortly.

Blade6119 02-27-2007 07:23 PM

The Big City Herald
Edition 5

Time's ticking down for judicial election

With just a small amount of time left in the current election for the Big City judge, it appears the citizens of this fine town have been unable to reach a consensus on who the new judge should be. Our sources tell us that exit poll information reveal we might be as close to 3 votes short for one of the candidates.

Once shame on you, Twice shame on me

From the pages of the bizarre... one would think after being violated you would protect yourself from having it occur again. Evidentally one overly-trusting citizen of our town figured lightning wouldn't happen twice in the same spot. Just minutes after the police leave from investigating his previous crime report, he reports being hacked once again. Maybe tommorrow's pawn shop store sell will be computer protection.

Quote:

Report crime:
Date: 2/27
Time: 7:15 PM CST
Details: Two times in two hours! Right after the detective leaves it happens again! Please come investigate ASAP and get these cyber-terrorists off the streets of our city!
