It's a Sims 4 Triple Pack Free on Epic this week. You get Jungle Adventures, Luxury Party Stuff, and the Fashion Street Kit.
|
I was checking on the free game(s) for this week and noticed that they have it listed as a Mystery Game. So probably a pretty popular one
|
Quote:
Yep very popular-it's Death Stranding. Another mystery game next week |
The mystery free game this week is:
Fallout: New Vegas: Ultimate Edition |
The mystery free game this week is a step below the first two:
Midnight Ghost Hunt: a multiplayer find which player is the ghost game. |
Today's mystery free game is: Payday 2
|
Mystery Games are over with but we have 2 free games this week and if you are a fan of the game Guacamelee, you are in luck-both Guacamelee 2 and Guacamelee Super Turbo Championship Edition are free.
|
Two free games this week:
1) Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms-which I thought was already free. 2) theHunter: Call of the Wild. Yep a Hunting Simulation |
theHunter: Call of the Wild got a good bit of play from me when it first came out. It was enjoyable, but still had very limited equipment. I have loaded it to see what you get in the base game now, but you can go broke buying DLC packs for it.
|
One free game this week:
1) Dungeons of Naheulbeuk-a quirky humorous tactical RPG |
Sorry gang not slacking just have family visiting this week and lost track. Free game doesn't look that exciting this week anyway:
Grime: Its a fast paced action adventure RPG where you form weapons out of body parts as you struggle to survive what the world throws at you. |
Train Valley 2 is the free game this week at Epic
|

Family again visiting this week, so sorry for the delay. There's 2 games for free this week, at least one is a "goodie" 1) Elder Scrolls Online-I like this MMO, and I think most any fan of the Elder Scrolls games would too. Has a few DLC's as well. 2)Murder by Numbers-solve pixel puzzles to find clues, use those clues to investigate suspects and find the murderer. |
Two more free games this week:
1) Homeworld Remastered Collection 2) Severed Steel-a first person shooter |
I claim these games every week and almost never actually play them. Makes me wonder, does Epic pay these companies on "purchase" or on download / first launch? I have to believe a ton of people that claim Severed Steel for example will never install it.
|
Quote:
Yeah me too. I claim a lot of them even though they aren't my area of interest-cause you never know right? :) |
I forgot how many games I have in my Epic library. I think it's around 60 or so? Maybe more. I would say 95% of those were free. I am not sure if I have installed or played more than two?
I still appreciate their generosity! |
Two free games this week both of which I think may have been available before:
1)Loop Hero-fun card based roguelike with a time mechanic/story 2)Bloons TD 6-tower defense game-this one may be new for a free game for Epic |
Two free games this week-one a "biggie" the other a
1) Europa Universalis 4-yes you too can control all of Europe 2)Orwell: Keeping an Eye on you: You get to be "Big Brother" in this quirky simulation where you explore the internet and personal communications to decide which of your fellow citizens are behind a series of terror attacks. What you find can change their lives forever. I had fun with this one |
2 free games this week with one I've never heard of:
1)Black Book-a dark ROG adventure where you play as a young sorceress in a world based on Slavic legends. Combat is card based 2)Dodo Peak-in this classic arcade platformer you play as a dodo trying to rescue your lost babies from dangerous peaks |
1 free game this week, looks like a good one if you are a fan of real time strategy games:
Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak |
Today's free game is:
Cave Story+. Info on it says its the most well known indie game of all time. Not known to me though. It's an old school platformer with some anime roots |
And this week's free game is:
Spelldrifter-a turn based RPG/collectible card game hybrid that I've never heard of but could be worth checking out. |
Allegedly, Football Manager 2023 was going to be free through Prime Gaming starting today, but nothing yet.
|
Quote:
Yeah I had signed back up for Prime this past month and saw that it was going to be available. I just went and found it on the Gaming page so it is available through Epic. So you should be able to get it now The rest of the free games available looks rather bleak though. |
They're basically all old SNK games. I got an old Baseball Stars and King of Fighters free a while back. Every now and then Prime gives away a decent game.
|
Quote:
Available as of today. Thanks for the tip! |
911 Operator is the free game this week at Epic.
|
Today's free games at Epic are:
1)Out Of Line-a 2D platformer/puzzler where you try to escape the Factory that was your home and explore a strange world 2)The Forest Quartet-At first I thought this was some spinoff or DLC for the game The Forest. But no its a 3D narrative puzzler where you play as the spirit of the now deceased lead singer and try to gather the band back together for a final concert. |
Another 2 free games at Epic this week:
1)Model Builder-this one is for all you model plane/car/etc builders out there 2)Soulstice-An action RPG set in a dark fantasy world where you play as one of two sisters |
Not free game news, but just saw Epic is laying off almost 20% or 900 people. So maybe not free games for much longer?
|
Quote:
I think I recall reading that the free game each week offer will officially end at the end of this year. But, yeah, laying off 20% of your workforce isn't great. That Fork Knife money may finally be running out. |

The amount of money these companies are spending trying to force the metaverse on their customers is crazy. |
I mean the Metaverse is technological snake oil targeted at CEOs of billion dollar companies, right?
I did see last spring Epic took out debt to invest 2 billion in metaverse infrastructure. Seems insane. You could ask literally anyone not in a board room or employed by a company developing the metaverse if that would be a good idea and I bet less than 1 in a thousand would have said yes. |
One free game this week and its a strange one: Godlike Burger.
You run the most popular burger joint in the galaxy where your customers are the burger meat! |
I guess there was another round of layoffs at Epic due to the financial situation the company finds itself in despite having one of the most popular and successful videogames on the planet AND the most popular and successful engine on the market.
I always wonder how the CEOs and the board running these businesses survive situations like this. |
2 free games this week:
1)Blazing Sails-fast pace Pirate PVP game 2) Q.U.B.E. Ultimate Bundle-for the puzzle crowd, get the original and the second game in this bundle |
2 free games this week:
1)Eternal Threads-a narrative puzzler game where you play as one of 6 characters and make choices along the way that affect the storyline for that character and the others. You can switch to other characters stories or follow one to its conclusion then go back and play again with another character 2) The Evil Within-just in time for Halloween |
Continuing the Halloween them with the first free game this week:
1)The Evil Within 2-more of the evil within 2)Tandem: A Tale of Shadows- a cutesy puzzle platformer where you play as little girl Emma and her teddy bear Fenton as you try to solve the mystery of the disappearance of a famous magician. |
sorry this is an early report-I was on Epic this morning and saw the free games for this week.
|
Quote:
These two games should be available now |
So usually I download the free games at Epic except if they are not in my wheelhouse for the kind of games I like, so have to say this might be one of the few that I have no interest in:
Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion (this is where you all chime in and tell me how great the game is) |
I think it was on Humble Bundle, so most of us probably already had a shot at it.
|
Quote:
I would only play it if I am allowed to fudge a bank statement. |
Quote:
I'm sure you can play for Trump Org in this game, so sure why not? :) |
One free games this week and it's a bit of weird one:
Golden Light: a Horror/survival/FPS Prop Hunt Roguelike about meat, yes meat. |
Two freebies this week, one of which is a repeat customer I think:
1)Surviving the Aftermath-another Fallout end of the world/rebuild human civilization game. I've got this one, and I enjoy it 2)Earthlock-an indie adventure RPG inspired by the classic 3D RPG's of the 90's |
Quote:
I had my eye on this as well, glad to hear you enjoyed it. |
In case you missed the freebie at Epic this week, it was:
Deliver Us Mars-am action adventure game where you are trying to recover colony ships and find out who or what is behind it. |
Gone a week and I'm already out of practice :)
2 free games at Epic this week: 1)Jitsu Squad-a Marvel vs Capcom inspired 4 player tag team co-op beat'em up. 2) Mighty Fight Federation-a throwback to classic arena fighters where you can face off against 13 other fighters. So in other words, nothing I'm too interested in :) |
