Crime Cities, a mix of shooter and futuristic vehicle simulator is free to claim at GoG.com the next couple days

Thomkal 12-10-2021 01:09 PM

Cave Story's Secret Santa is free to claim at GoG.com. Looks like a platformer

Edit: Also free on Steam: Call of Juarez: Gunslinger

Thomkal 12-13-2021 10:28 AM

Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun is free to claim for about the next 48 hours at GoG.com

Winter/Holiday sales at most sites this week, keep an eye out for Epic's to start later in the week.

Bobble 12-13-2021 12:19 PM

I saw on reddit someone linked a YT video of a guy playing Radio Commander. It's an innovative Vietnam game where you're giving your orders over the radio as the commander back at the fire base. For $2.68 for the game and DLC, I grabbed it.

JPhillips 12-13-2021 02:27 PM

You know what would be helpful?

An app that looks at my Steam wishlist and searches other sites and gives me comparison pricing.

CheapShark - PC Game Deals

I mean, it's not gonna search for you, but it does the rest.

JPhillips 12-13-2021 03:21 PM

Yeah, but I just want my wishlist tracked.

Thomkal 12-22-2021 12:41 PM

Steam's Winter sale has started. Per usual they are not offering any free games, just discounts on a lot of games and a free penguin sticker from their item shop.

SirFozzie 12-22-2021 12:56 PM

try isthereanydeal.com. you'd have to add the games manually to your wishlist, but...

I got Encased and Warhammer 40K: Battlesector from Epic's winter sale.

remember the good ol' days?

So long ago......back when the sales were incredible, and the options were many and sales changed each day?

Yes I do, but i think we're also kinda jaded these days because you can get almost any game with a discount of some kind

I find Factorio's value of 'not gonna have a sale ever, not no-way, not no-how' to be amusing in this regard. Every once in a while someone pops up with 'why is this never on sale' and gets absolutely flabbergasted/dumbfounded when they hear why.

I admit to enjoying the butthurt more than I should.

Thomkal 12-27-2021 01:33 PM

You have 42 hours or so to claim X-Morph: Defense Complete Edition for free from GoG.com

flere-imsaho 12-30-2021 08:24 AM

Did I miss FM 2022 being on sale?

Thomkal 01-03-2022 08:40 AM

Ultimate Adom is 50% off or $10 next couple days on Steam

Thomkal 01-03-2022 01:09 PM

Iratus: Lord of the Dead is free to claim at GoG.com for the next 40 hours or so.

Capital 01-04-2022 08:45 AM

Picked up Disciples Liberation, Dicey Dungeons and Forza Horizon 4 - all nice sales at the moment.

MizzouRah 01-04-2022 09:32 AM

I buy a new PC for my gaming addiction and I'm playing Rift Wizard. I think my RTX 3060 can handle it. :)

Same, still playing angband games on the new computer. No Man's Sky sure looks nice though.

While maybe not perfect, I've enjoyed the game quite a bit. I'd say I'm half way through at this point with about 25 hours played. I'd recommend the game to those who liked the King's Bounty series. Plus the graphic effects during the battles are well done.

Thomkal 01-14-2022 02:59 PM

Humble Bundle has the Surviving Mars base game plus 8 add ons or so plus a coupon for the latest DLC if you pay at least $10

Thomkal 01-21-2022 03:05 PM

Icewind Dale: Enhanced Edition for $3 at Fanatical for about 18 hours

Thomkal 01-23-2022 12:45 PM

Ken Follett's Pillars of the Earth is the $2.25 Star Deal at Fanatical for the next 20 hours or so.

BYU 14 01-23-2022 12:49 PM

Picked up Expeditions: Rome on the pre-sale and it is a gem. Think if X-Com 2, Rome: Total War and Pathfinder had a child. Excellent turn based combat, interesting companions and a wide array of management options, without being overwhelming. Only nit pick at all, is that early at least, while you have optional quests, game play is a bit linear, but we will see how that plays out.

bhlloy 01-23-2022 01:13 PM

Massive +1 on both of the above posts. Pillars of Earth was a gem in a genre I don’t really play that much, and about 8 hours in Expeditions: Rome has the potential to be Game of the Year for me I think.

Lathum 01-23-2022 04:23 PM

Anyone playing Democracy 4?

GrantDawg 01-23-2022 04:31 PM

Expedition:Rome sounds right up my ally. Put it on the wishlist.

XCom: Chimera Squad is $7 at GoG.com

There's apparently another Steam Sale going up soon, just as an FYI

Just a moment... · SteamDB

Kinda sat out the Winter Sale out of indifference + being busy otherwise but have a decent sized wish list and a Steam Gift Card to use.

cool thanks for the notice

NobodyHere 01-26-2022 07:07 PM

There's a game on Steam called "Sex With Hitler".

Pause for a second and examine your faith in humanity.

And then place a wager that Tucker Carlson owns a copy.

I believe this is a Lunar New Year sale-most sites are having them and just got a big list of Steam's sale items

Thomkal 02-15-2022 06:14 AM

Dear Esther: Landmark Edition is free to claim on Steam until about 10 am tomorrow. Its a first person game set on an isolated island where as you progress a voice begins to read fragments of a letter. A very moody unique game

Thomkal 02-21-2022 12:24 PM

Steam having the Next Fest starting today for a week. Live Streams and Demos of upcoming games.

With as many games as are on Steam, it would surprise me if there wasn't such a title.

Ksyrup 02-21-2022 06:37 PM

Anyone played Potion Craft? It seems like a mindless game but from the reviews I've read, there's some strategy that makes the game much deeper than it appears at first blush. It's 25% off and been on my wishlist for a few months, so I am thinking about jumping on it.

I'm in the same boat. Looks kinda cool but I don't know if it's cool enough to float above the 130 games I have on Steam that I haven't played yet...

they seem to have opened the floodgates lately for sex simulator games. perhaps there was an event or lawsuit or something forcing them to make a statement about it cause suddenly i see them pop up.

bhlloy 02-22-2022 03:21 PM

Yeah, seems to me there’s a pretty big gap between “I’m ok with seeing adult content” and “we will show you explicit porn at random in your daily queue” which seems to have become the norm over the last few months

Edward64 02-22-2022 03:56 PM

Early access Wartales showed up with a 20% discount Sun morning. I thought about it and decided to get it mid-afternoon and the discount was gone.

Anyone playing Wartales? Has it kept your interest?

Yep Jon got an email from Bethesda today saying they are getting rid of their launcher in April and most games will then move to Steam

Thomkal 02-23-2022 02:45 PM
