Wow lots of mocks showing CJ Stroud not going until #11 Titans. If true that could be a steal for them as they need a young QB to replace Tannehill after this season.

I think the vibe that Stroud is the QB who falls is signal, rather than noise. 11 sounds about right, or slightly higher if someone leapfrogs ahead of TEN. But 20+ also seems conceivable. Maybe mere overreaction to S2, but I think it's real. |
Uh, Stroud won't be around at #11. I don't think I would pay any attention to any such mock drafts.
Well would you look at that-Ravens extend Lamar Jackson
Lamar Jackson seems to have come to an agreement with the Ravens. No word on the terms.

Rumor around town yesterday was that it's going to look a lot like the Hurts deal, with a tiny smidgen on top of each layer.
With or without an agent?
It sounds like the Ravens front office just felt like the Hurts contract, and its public reception, created a specific window. He felt like a pretty fair "comparable" and they could pitch a new offer to Jackson in those terms... step by step, here's what Hurts got, and here's how we are doing just a bit better. I think it sounds like smart framing - no agent to walk him through the deep details, but they implicitly let him draft on Hurts' agent who just negotiated all those things as reasonable.
Anyway, word was out yesterday that it was coming together soon. |
Well guess I don't have to worry about what my beloved Cards were going to do at #3-they just traded it to the Vikings
Sorry I may be wrong about that-Cards were trending and I was looking for details
Please for the love of god someone take Jalen Carter before the Bears pick.
The betting odds have been crazy. All day Will Anderson was tending as the top guy to go at No 2 and now it’s Stroud.
I'm frantically scouring the airwaves for the 'worst'/lowest budget draft coverage because ESPN is already fucking insufferable, with human interest stories of no interest.
Booing the commissioner is so stupid. Dude has done an amazing job growing the sport.
And now: a bunch of shit that we definitely could have & should have done before 5!
I have it on good authority that the Carolina Panthers are taking kicker Anthony Buttkicker, from Northeast Western State. Biggest surprise of any draft ever.
Is he related to prospective paper buyer William M. Buttlicker?

Houston is taking Stroud. So much for him dropping.

Stroud slipped all the way down to #2

Lol. "He is dropping to 12-20 guys"
Woooo....Houson about to take Will Anderson as well.

So far, so good with ABC video and Sirius NFL radio audio. |
Raise your hand if you had Texans picking 3rd

Hmm, good call, I had already found the ABC coverage but maybe radio audio is the way to go. I'm sure there are tons of genuinely interesting stories in this draft, but it's all been so poorly canned. |
Why doesn't the NFL have a Woj or Passan that breaks these trades before they happen?
SI |
Texans should now trade however many million it takes to Tennessee for the oilers name, color and history. This whole Texans thing has been a joke.
The Texans trade: Pick 12, 33 and a 2024 first round pick, 2024 3rd round
The Cardinals trade: Pick 3, pick 105. |
The one guy tips picks. I think it’s Ryan Clark.
Seahawks taking Witherspoon is a curve ball
Pete has to look out for Jalen Carter right?
Guess not.

Ok you Lions experts. Who you taking?

Apparently nobody SI |

We trade with the Texans. Everyone's doing it. |
Cardinals trade up to 6. Who are they taking?
Oh yes. Please take a tackle
Damn, I wanted Paris on the Bears.

The Lions trade: Pick 6, pick 81.
The Cardinals trade: Pick 12, 34, 168. |
Arizona picked up a first next year and the player they wanted
Come on Raiders. Take Levis.

The other player I like is Kancey, but I'd like to trade down a handful of picks to try to get him. Not a fan of Carter, Tyree Wilson, and Skoronski is a guard. And please don't take Bijan Robinson. |
By pushing the $58.3 million option bonus into next year -- the bonus is fully guaranteed -- Rodgers' 2024 compensation balloons to $107.55 million. That consists of an original $47 million option bonus, plus $1.21 million in minimum salary, plus the $58.3 million bonus from this year.
Once the Jets exercise the $47 million option bonus, they can spread the cap hit over the remainder of the contract, which runs through 2027. They could add a void year to spread it over five, lowering the cap charges. If they do nothing other than pick up the $47 million option bonus, his 2024 cap hit would be $71.26 million. |
Dang it. Tyree is not making it to 8.
Paris Johnson's mom did make me laugh.
