Lame!!!

hoopsguy 03-11-2009 06:51 AM

Well, I've wanted more deaths. Of course, that was before I was pseudo-playing along with The Jackal. I guess there is a certain amount of karma at play here.

Thomkal 03-11-2009 06:55 AM

Sorry to see you go CR and Jackal! Was there anyway for us to reverse your curse CR? Oh and I guess artificer's are pretty powerful after all. :) Well done Chesapeake, even though you are evil now.

Thomkal 03-11-2009 06:56 AM

heh hoops, yep there certainly is

I agree, so the owners of the dungeon will ban participants from killing each other (mano e mano) but will let wheel traps and demon llamas do that work for them...for shame. :D

boberot 03-11-2009 07:28 AM

Tough break, CR.

Wow, I'm so glad I wasn't able to convince Ches to pick me. He would have beat the ever-loving snot out of me, most likely.

boberot 03-11-2009 07:29 AM

Ya had a good run at it Jackal.
Well fought.

Qwikshot 03-11-2009 07:37 AM

I'm curious as to why Jackal was picked...

PackerFanatic 03-11-2009 07:41 AM

I will stand back and watch Poli - good luck!

1) You were on the list, Dubb. I picked Jackal because I was pretty sure that he was about the same level and also pretty sure he did not have a crack at the djinni sale, which had some items in it to which I am particularly vulnerable.

Jackal did have something that made him immune to paralyzation and, I suspect, sleep spells. Anyone that did not have immunity to those or could not kill me in the 1st round was probably not going to get a second shot at me.

2) I think Abe is saying that the potion would not have been allowed, in which case you would have needed another string in your banjo.

Jackal/Hoops, you fought well. But there can be only one. Or five. Whatever.

chesapeake 03-11-2009 08:24 AM

Oh, I almost forgot. I'm evil now. Does anyone have some black dye for my robes? On the plus side, I already have the goatee.

MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Passacaglia 03-11-2009 08:50 AM

I think dyes are a prestige item.

Abe Sargent 03-11-2009 08:59 AM

Okay let's have some morning fun

Abe Sargent 03-11-2009 09:06 AM

When chesapeake tries to pickup the Healing Kit he is shocked!!!

He cannot touch the completed prestige items

Clerics, this afternoon, you may, as an action, Attempt to Claim The Jackal's Legacy. If successful, you will get the healing kit.

chesapeake 03-11-2009 09:16 AM

My evil plans have been thwarted! Vengeance shall be mine!

Passacaglia 03-11-2009 09:18 AM

Hmm. I think I might have just turned evil, too.

chesapeake 03-11-2009 09:20 AM

Copycat.

Passacaglia 03-11-2009 09:22 AM

Well, I'm not sure yet -- it's just a hunch. All I did was put on some armor.

Was it red and black and covered with pentacles? Or did Abe refer to it as "Mega-evil Demon Armor or Soul Sucking?" If so, it just might be evil.

chesapeake 03-11-2009 09:32 AM

Seriously? Kwhit had to bathe himself in blood with his sword. I had to kill a friend and colleague and stand over his lifeless corpse. All you did was put on some armor. Evil can't be getting that soft, can it?

Passacaglia 03-11-2009 09:44 AM

Yeah, probably not. So I should be fine. :)

Abe Sargent 03-11-2009 09:45 AM

Poli has defended the town of Bywater against the guzak hordes!!!! All hail Townsaver!

Abe Sargent 03-11-2009 09:45 AM

Morning actions are done. Movement ones are due at 4 this afternoon

I'll tell you if you turn evil. Just because you equipped something black does not make you evil.

Real evil people wear pink, after all.

I apparently just suck. No wonder my odds are 45-1!

Nice job, Poli.

Thomkal 03-11-2009 09:53 AM

all hail Townsaver (again)!

Note to self: Guzaks make crappy evil minions.

PF only managed to kill one...

PackerFanatic 03-11-2009 10:05 AM

True story.

Thomkal 03-11-2009 10:06 AM

as for me, I stood before the Forge of the Gods awed, knowing that I could create a masterwork from it. I lost myself in the work, tuning out the fire giants and the heat coming from the forge and sometime later came out of my trance and found I had created a +5 staff!

I was quickly forced to use my newly forged staff though as a frost giant emerged from the tunnels! Thankfully he hadn't seen me yet, so I was able to get the drop on him, yes an artificer got an ambush attack and I made the best of it doing 15 damage! I could only dream of doing that kind of damage with a weapon before.

It quickly became a battle to see if he would whittle down all my mirror images before I could do enough damage to kill him. Using my wands and shiny staff I did a lot of damage, but he knocked out every one of my duplicates. One more blow from my staff though felled the giant! Got a lot of xp, but sadly no level, some gold, a nifty scroll, and of course my +5 staff.

Now though I'm forced to go into the next room without any of my mirror images, but all my spells and wands available to me. A bit risky, but one I will have to take.

Passacaglia 03-11-2009 10:07 AM

So I guess PF only makes a slightly less crappy evil minion.

Poli 03-11-2009 10:07 AM

They never stood a chance with this lute.

Poli 03-11-2009 10:17 AM

Danny, PF came from my right...where the Phoenix was I believe. Are you sure you didn't go left?

Thomkal 03-11-2009 10:19 AM

what does your lute do Poli?

Poli 03-11-2009 10:20 AM

I'm not going to reveal that why Pass is still around. :) I hope you understand.

Thomkal 03-11-2009 10:23 AM

heh I do understand

Because I haven't got to level 10 or died yet.

Poli 03-11-2009 10:25 AM

True.

It involves Kum-Ba-Yah, doesn't it?

And they call ME evil.

hoopsguy 03-11-2009 10:53 AM

I wish chesapeake had been evil about 4,000 or so posts ago :)

Poli 03-11-2009 10:58 AM

Rocky Top.

Sweet.

Guess I know what I'm gonna be doing this afternoon.

boberot 03-11-2009 12:11 PM

Maybe Abe will make us have a Cleric DeathMatch to get the prestige item.

That could be fun to watch!

Abe Sargent 03-11-2009 12:42 PM

I have just gotten calld away to help out with an emergency in my building

Abe Sargent 03-11-2009 12:42 PM

It would clear the decks rather nicely. We've got a bunch of 'em running around and most are annoying little goody-goodies. "Cure this" and "heal that." Blah blah blah.

Poli 03-11-2009 01:21 PM

PF, I'm going what amounts to "forward" for you. I'd appreciate it if you'd let me know which way you're planning on going.

Poli 03-11-2009 01:24 PM

Dola, I'd rather not have company, no offense. If you're determined to go forward, I could just move a different way...just give me a head's up, could you?

PackerFanatic 03-11-2009 01:47 PM

I am going forward because I don't feel like backtracking or going to the lighter bricks.
