No, you're good. I think in my above post I basically admit to being a retard and being short-sighted.

PurdueBrad 08-12-2008 04:43 PM

Abe, given that you were basically cleared and most people do trust you the most, why do you think you haven't been killed? I've been trying to figure out the wolves' choices and am wondering if they are trying to find a certain role or power (hence the stripping of powers) in order to win.

How would lynching me and having me come back again provide any more info than we already have in Post #2?

PB, you seem to have been a wolf a lot lately so I had kind of written you off, but there's this pinging that won't go away....

Mccollins, I'm just trying to clear people. Your coming back is a dynamic that I don't believe I've ever played with before. It *seems* like it wouldn't be a bad idea to have a good guy come back as a bad guy simply because everyone assumed they were cleared. Believe me, lynching you would be seventh on my list probably, but at this point we don't seem to be pulling off any lynches and I wouldn't mind either getting a decent start at a COT (Abe by himself does not a circle make) OR starting to lynch wolves. My idea of possibly lynching you was to expand said COT, not necessarily a move towards you being a wolf.

I'm likely out until deadline, sorry. As some of you guys know, my wife is pregnant, and she has been nauseous for about three and a half weeks. Today, she actually feels good enough to venture out so I'm taking her to see Batman (which I loved and she is tired of hearing about so she wants to see it for herself). Sorry about this guys. I'll pop in once or twice in the next half hour before we leave.

Lathum 08-12-2008 05:50 PM

I will be gone as well, we have a new owner orientation at our condo

Cool! How many new owners are there? I'll be gone soon, too -- lurker's parents are here, and we're going to go to our condo for the first time as owners -- though I don't think we're going to do anything (other than get the garage door opener out of there).

...And that was a short-lived pipe dream as the wife has now devolved into her normal state of nausea, so, I'll be around barring some drastic, miraculous turn of events.

Oh yeah, and this is what I was hoping to be doing:

This is now what I'm doing: :banghead:

Abe has stayed constant for me but he got trust because he ran into DT in the labyrinth and DT revealed to him. That doesn't really speak to anything about Abe. I know Abe thinks the game is getting much more clear but I think things are getting foggier honestly. RendeR not being the minotaur and then lesser ancient role has me thrown. KWhit supposedly being another free agent kind of role (similar to Path12 in a way) also has me thrown. We're to the point where a lynch is getting quite impossible as well.

Thanks for the compliment...I think (since it sounds like you're also saying I fucked up at the same time :p ). I guess I just thought the most important thing was keeping Abe safe -- and if I could get myself free from lynching as well, so much the better.

I can't see how it makes me wolfish, though -- I mean, the fact that I gave him the potion is confirmed by Abe, so I'm not lying about that. And if I gave him the potion as a wolf, then the reveal wouldn't make a difference -- the wolves would have already known about it, so why announce it to the villagers?

Hehe, I was going to nuke some and melt some butter on the stove so here's hoping we don't bump into each other in the maze then!

just us. It is a 1-1 with the facilities manager.

congrats on the place. I'm sure it's as exciting for you as it is for us.

PurdueBrad 08-12-2008 06:10 PM

Nah, it was a compliment Pass, I was more surprised you shared that info as opposed to being maybe wolfish, just out of character. I see why you did it given the heat you took early for not sharing enough but it still is a tough call to do. And seriously, since I'm laying out most of my trust ratings, you're in the middle/mid-upper simply because the power-stripping thing that happened to you too. Your description is dead on with mine so I buy it unless the wolves aren't working together and are separate factions which I find to be highly unlikely and improbable.

But that does sound awesome. At home, we usually nuke orville redenbacher's "pour over cheddar" popcorn (no other brand of cheese popcorn is as good). Adding melted butter sounds great, though.

PurdueBrad 08-12-2008 06:11 PM

Sounds like a trip to the store for me as I've never had the pour over cheddar kind...yum.

Cool -- congrats to you guys, too! I'm sure it's a much bigger deal to you given your living situation in the meantime -- we have until the end of the month where we have both places, and we haven't started packing at all. But we're still excited, too -- now we need to figure out what we're going to do to the place before we move in, and when we're going to move in.

orville redenbacher's is tough to find -- they still have the movie theater butter kind everywhere, but a lot of stores stopped carrying the pour over cheddar.

Passacaglia 08-12-2008 08:54 PM

This inactivity is a big deal, since a lot of my 'no lynch' philosophy is predicated on the idea that we don't want to kill anyone who's trying to get to the center -- if she's inactive, she's not really doing that.

mccollins 08-12-2008 08:54 PM

Passacaglia trumped no lynching quite a bit and I have to say that it sounds kind of sensible in this game where the villager objective is to race to the center. More alive villagers gives us more chances for the win.

With that said, what's up with the votes with little to no evidence?
