bulletsponge 01-12-2013 07:49 PM

Tebow would have won that game.

DougW 01-12-2013 07:49 PM

Yeah, I like my team being out of the playoffs, too.

Incredible game.

He certainly didn't lose them the way Peyton did.

Abe Sargent 01-12-2013 07:54 PM

Peyton Manning may be the best reular season QB of all tim eand yet one of the worst ones in the playoffs after arriving there

You would without hesitation take Eli over one of the greatest QBs of all-time?

dubb93 01-12-2013 07:57 PM

Quit feeding the troll and watch football.

Abe Sargent 01-12-2013 07:57 PM

I would, now, take Eli over Peyton. He just starts shitting the ball everywhere in the playoffs.

EDIT - You can;t blame this loss on teh Colts or the coaching or anything the Broncos were a great team before he arrived, and he got a few more wins in the regular season against a weaker division, but did no better in the playoffs.

They had Peyton playing defense at the end of regulation and HE missed on the touchdown? Thats some awful coaching if thats true.

Jon 01-12-2013 07:58 PM

I have a friend who insists the Broncos should've taken Tebow over Peyton.

Yup. I want to win playoff games. Not put up big regular season stats.

cmp 01-12-2013 08:00 PM

Not a chance in hell I'd take Eli over Peyton

The Ravens spotted the Broncs two touchdowns via special teams and if Peyton doesn;t have three turnovers including a pick six, that's game for the Broncos. Today, Kyle Orrton would have won with the Broncos.

spleen1015 01-12-2013 08:01 PM

Let's be real, Lathum. Regardless of which Manning is on your team, you have to dog the other one just to make yours look like the better one in your mind.

The last time he was in the playoffs he played great?

Eli did neither this season.

Abe Sargent 01-12-2013 08:03 PM

Let's not forget that Eli out won against the best playoff Q Bof our era twice in the Super Bowl and Manning in the duel of the chokers managed to win against McNabb/ Let's also not forget that in Manning's SB winning year he did his normal suck job but his defense bailed him out.

If you want to protect that DB, you might want to keep an eye on Jack Del Rio ;)

dubb93 01-12-2013 08:03 PM

They gave up 161 yards in touchdown passes. Peyton had an interception ran back for a touchdown that hit his receiver in the hands. He picked up nine more first downs with two less possessions. He was more efficient on third down.

He made a couple of legit mistakes, but clearly this can only mean one thing.

ZOMFG!!!!! ORTON WOULD HAVE ONE THIS GAME!!!! FIRE MANNING, HE'S A BUM!

Jas_lov 01-12-2013 08:03 PM

I'd take Rodgers over both Mannings. Great drive there. This one will be a shootout.

Why would you call me a troll. I think it is a legitimate way to discuss Peyton's playoff performance.

I literally just called it.

stevew 01-12-2013 08:04 PM

Fuck the cunty ass loseriffic Broncos who tanked my playoff fantasy entry by not playing a deep goddamn fucking safety and getting "Santana Moss'd" deep on a play that had no business working in an NFL game.

cmp 01-12-2013 08:04 PM

I would however take Trent Dilfer over Eli and Peyton

I'd rather have Eli than Peyton now, since there is no excuse for this game's loss save for Mannings sucky play. Want your defense not to gie up a big touchdown late? Don;t throw a pick six. Down turn the ball over. Score once in a 15 minute overtime period.

Lathum, we all know by now that you can't discuss Giants players with you. Any discussion involving Eli Manning with you isn't going to end in anything but a giant fight.

But you don't actually watch the games you just get yet alerts for every manning turnover. The pick 6 was not at all mannings fault. The broncos lost for a quite a few reasons one of which was that last int. but tebow, Orton etc are in there and Denver loses in regulation

MIJB#19 01-12-2013 08:07 PM

Way too much talk about somebody that isn't in the playoffs at the moment and way too little talk about the game that's going on right now. What's next, bringing back the Jets QB controversy for debate? ;)

They also called a blatant facemask against SF and then picked up the flag for no reason. Let's just hope these refs are better than the ones in the Baltimore-Denver game.

I watched the whole game. I watched him toss three TD passes. I watched Flacco be the better QB on teh day, and that's sad for your "elite-status" when that happens. This is the last straw, the final minute, and the game is done. The Broncos were better than this, and they outplayed the Ravens in special teams massively, and Manning had the offense to outduel the Ravens but simply could not.

So, Eli beat one of the best playoff QBs of our era but when Peyton won it was because of the defense? Peyton Manning, of all those years with the Colts D, is not allowed to put it on the defense for why he only has one ring but when they win. ..

Edit: quoted the wrong post but on my phone so fuck fixing it

cmp 01-12-2013 08:10 PM

Peyton won because of his defense? Colts had a terrible D for years. He would have another ring or two with a solid D in Indy

Eli cameup big and kinda was exposed too. Peyton;s numbers were just as bad in the SB run as normal, but the defense really came alive and stopped people to allow the win - Where has Manning been when his defenses can;t do that? When the game needs to be won on the shoulder of the "consensus best QB of the era" where is he in the playoffs and Super Bowl time? Sure, the occasional win early in the playoffs, but invariably he sucks it up.
