Get ready to protect your wallets,

Steam Autumn Sale starts on Wednesday, according to PayPal - PC Gamer

I hope Divinity: Original Sin gets a good sale price.

Grover 11-24-2014 11:55 AM

Grabbed Shovel Knight and This War of Mine.

Both are excellent in completely different ways.

I can't believe how long they've let it fester. The Early Access system is easily the worse aspect of Steam. Most the games suck, many of them seem to have been abandoned and they are interspersed with "real games".

It's maddening how long it's taken them to address it.

That one is well worth full price. One of my top 3 games of this year.

Icy 11-26-2014 05:37 AM

Filled my wish list with 40 games, looking forward for the Autumn sales starting today.

Endless Legend is a game was planning to buy today, will wait just to see if it is discounted.

Others interesting:

DoorKickers
Age of Wonders III
CKII Charlemagne
Plague Inc
Tropico 5
Craft the World
FTL
Distant Worlds
Wargame Red Dragon

I have quite a few of those:

EL is another of my top 3 from this year thus far.

AOW3 is good, though the emphasis on combat and the lack of city building turns me off a bit.

Plague Inc I have on my iPhone. Entertaining, but repetitive.

Tropico 5 is probably a step back from Tropico 4 or so I've heard.

Craft the World is supposedly quite good and I enjoyed my limited time with it in Early Access. I've been sucked up in Prison Architect but I'll play it some this weekend.

FTL has a great reputation but I'm less of a fan of roguelikes than most. Plus, it's kind of disappointing to work to get to the final ship only to find out you didn't craft your ship to some unknown magic formula and then can't win.

Distant Worlds is an incredibly deep 4x game. It has a big learning curve, but once you're through it you'll find a remarkably cool 4x game.

In short, that's a pretty good list. :)

Grover 11-26-2014 08:50 AM

Divinity: Original Sin and Endless Legend are top of my list for this sale.

Dungeon of the Necromancer as well.

Honolulu_Blue 11-26-2014 09:01 AM

I am not sure if there are any games I really even kinda want that I don't already have.

When Honolulu_Blue saw the breadth of his Steam library, he wept for there were no more games to buy. :(

Draft Dodger 11-26-2014 10:37 AM

I just started playing Dragon Age (the first one) and have a ton of others on my backlog so I'm not expecting to buy much. I mostly like these to pick up cheap copies of games I already own for the kids accounts

PilotMan 11-26-2014 11:02 AM

Fuck FTL,

All hail FTL.

That's pretty much how I feel about it.

I concur

mckerney 11-26-2014 12:32 PM

Battleblock Theater at $1.49 is a great co-op game, would also recommend FTL, Don't Starve and Wolf Among Us from current deals.

mckerney 11-26-2014 03:55 PM

The Vanishing of Ethan Carter is pretty good as well, it's an exploration mystery game that is absolutely gorgeous

Icy 11-26-2014 04:00 PM

Wow most of my list are on nice discounts, will hurt my wallet!

lighthousekeeper 11-26-2014 05:13 PM

all i want is deep discounts on skyrim expansions

mckerney 11-26-2014 05:37 PM

Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons is $2.99. Just a phenomenal game. Store page says it requires a controller, I've read it doesn't actually work with a mouse and keyboard but I wouldn't recommned playing it that way.

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance - $7.49 Steam key from Gamestop. Fast and over the top action game with absurdly good combat, another game where a controller is essentially required. Great music and one of my favorite final bosses in a game.

Grover 11-26-2014 06:27 PM

No voting this time around? Lame.

Julio Riddols 11-26-2014 06:54 PM

The Civ V collection is 12 dollars too, Finally managed to add that to my library.

Anyone here ever play Cossacks:Back To War? It's on sale. I always liked it more than Age of Empires.. Nothing like having 10,000 men and taking them to an opposing city and just obliterating them.

This is just the Thanksgiving sale. Think of it as the warm-up for the Holiday sale. The prices you see now should be about what you'll expect to see for the Christmas sale. I use this as the scouting session, then pull the trigger over Christmas.

NobodyHere 11-27-2014 01:05 AM

Well the Steam Fall Sale has taken it's first bite out of my wallet, Shadowrun Dragonfall for 7.50

+1

I almost never buy during this fall sale because I know I can wait a month and get to take part in some kind of fun events for all the same purchases (if not even better).

Started Dragonfall, but never got that far into it.

Really cool game but isn't the same thing as PQ?

You can level up your cohorts and there's also PvP play. More of a card collecting type game. Similar to the Marvel superhero game that's also free on Steam.

DaddyTorgo 11-27-2014 08:39 PM

Rome II Emperor Edition is down to 14.99

mckerney 11-28-2014 09:25 AM

Amazon has a Steam key for Shadow of Mordor for $19.99.

NobodyHere 11-28-2014 12:09 PM

Steam bumped up the discount on Endless Legend (from 33% off to 50%).

Very tempting...

sabotai 11-28-2014 12:25 PM

South Park: The Stick of Truth is down to $23.99 for those (like me) who were waiting for a price drop and/or sale.

It's actually only $20 on Humble Store

If you don't buy it for that then that's just foolish.

You can also preorder the upcoming Lara Craft game for $17.99 from the uplay and get a steam key for Stick of Truth for free.

mckerney 11-28-2014 12:53 PM

Buy Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris

Link to store page for Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris. Add it to your cart and you'll be able to add another game to your cart for free, Stick of Truth is one of the choices.

On reddit they're saying Stick of Truth is a Steam key, I think Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris will be as well once it's released. http://www.reddit.com/r/GameDeals/co...fc4_da/cmcg29h

Very tempting but being a K/M dude I'm not sure I would like the combat. So I think I'll pass.

If you like South Park, that price is a no-brainer.

If you don't, then you'll never like the game.

Was waiting for it to hit this price, they had been very stubborn about pricing since release so was worried it would be another year. Happy to snag it.

Does the game favor the existing players over randomly generated drafted players still? I can remember that it took 14 years before a drafted player ever made all NBA.

What help do you require? I find Prison Architect pretty easy. I got 20 good, fun hours out of it but I think I've seen everything it has to offer by now and put it away.

NobodyHere 11-29-2014 07:04 PM

Bought Endless Space, it is 80% off on steam.
