I thought it was a fumble. Ball was barely loose and his hand pushed it forward. Young had control on the incomplete pass.

I have absolutely no rooting interest in this game but Alabama is getting every call. They won't even call the obvious offsides penalties.

The previous film room alternate channels were pretty good. They had a panel of coaches in the studio along with an analyst talking to the viewers to explain what was going on from their perspective.

For whatever reason, this year, they decided to gather Jimbo Fisher and his staff into the Texas A&M auditorium, presumably with the expectation they would be explaining the game from their perspective to the viewers. However, it resembled a group of people in a movie theater, with tiered seating and they were sitting apart from each other. A couple of assistants in the back had the look of "I'm only here because the teacher said so."

Instead, we got 3 1/2 hours of Jimbo spewing out incoherent thoughts after every play, like Rainman with a country twang. His staff would occasionally mumble a comment or two, but they deferred to the smartest man in the room to ramble on for the most part The only time the assistants engaged in any extended dialogue was in the final minute of the game, when they talked about what they were going to order from "Steak and Shake." By that time, I don't think they realized their conversation was being carried live on ESPN, or perhaps they didn't care by that point.

Congrats to Georgia. That one will feel good for a while.

I saw 10 seconds of the Jimbo channel and it was an interview with James Coley coming back from a break and I took that entire thing to be a commercial for Texas A&M. The joke in Tallahassee among the media was about how fast Jimbo talked. He's definitely not a top choice for this kind of thing - at least, not as the guy driving the entire conversation.

I spent most of my time watching the Skycam channel (or whatever it was called).

The first P5 team Alabama plays next year is Texas. HALP!

Hopefully they take out all their frustrations on Utah State.

I'm hoping that Georgia finally marries Hope!

Two morning after thoughts:
1. David Pollack predicted before the season that Alabama was going to win the SEC championship game, but Georgia would advenge the loss in the Natty. That is an impressive preseason prediction that I wonder what odds that bet would have paid.
2. It is fascinating that there is no NFL buzz around Kirby. I don't see him being interested in moving up really, but you think there woukd at least be a rumor. I think the only way Kirby ever considers it if he has something like a 3 championships in 5 year run, or something like that. Then he might maybe think "what if:? He should be getting a ten year 100 million dollar contract signed in the next few days. It us really nice feeling secure in your coach for years to come.
