No no no...don't misunderstand - I wasn't complaining. I think it's cute. It's just funny.

stevew 05-18-2010 12:37 AM

I really need a couple/three owners for the RWBL. OOTPX.

Draft Dodger 05-18-2010 06:36 AM

I actually was thinking about the RWBL the other day, and dropped by the forums.

I don't have X though

Logan 05-18-2010 07:10 AM

Skydog likes starting threads with "Heh". Now I think of him as Beavis.

Poli 05-18-2010 07:15 AM

I was just wondering if the latest OOTP was worth buying.

I'm also wondering if the Tennessee football program will ever get back to what it was.

I hear HA is looking for a league.

Catching a student cheating is not fun. Particularly when it is a student you thought you could trust.

Sigh.

I was playing against Portugal in FIFA and thought, "Wow, there sure are a lot of Brazilian sounding names on this team." :banghead:

hrm, ouch. You ever seen some Krav Maga? What little I've seen was pretty brutal. Not sure this world is ready for a Krav Magaized Farrah yet... ;)

Funny thought, reading last page, I wondered if I had been cut from your friend. Go to check and oh, no, now I remember seeing the caffeine thing. Good luck with that. :)

I have absolutely no patience for people who make excuses.

This is not news...but is relevant to what I've been dealing with lately.

Someone here once made a great post about "breakfast-food nazis" that love to criticize people for not eating the right food at the right meal. I think this is a problem in many work environments. He was right on.

Would like to read that thread.

Man, where do you work? I would bring in pancakes every day for lunch just bug them.

Swaggs 05-18-2010 12:02 PM

One of my "friends" just posted this on Facebook:

Quote:

I Pledge Allegiance to the Flag of the United
States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation
Under God, Indivisible, with Liberty and Justice for all....RememberThis?
Not Allah, not Buddha, not man, UNDER GOD! We need to bring back
the meaning of Our Country's PLEDGE!!! Repost if you agree....AMEN!

I really, really want to reply and tell her that the Pledge didn't have the words "Under God" added until 1948, but don't want to start a religion vs atheism war.

Reason does not work with people who are emotionally attached to stuff like that.

Yeah. This. I've decided that unless I'm willing to endure the "batshit crazy" for laughs that it's impossible to have a discussion with people like that, because they don't respect reason + logic + facts.

It's like beating your head against a wall of stupid.

So very true and sad at the same time.

Wikipedia (I know, I know) says that it was written by a Baptist minister (which your Facebook friend should love) who also happened to be a "Christian socialist."

Yes, it means exactly what you think it does.

Throw THAT land mine at her and grab your popcorn.

I smile! Too wide sometimes ;)

She's self conscious about the gap in her front teeth (which isn't that big at all), while I embrace it!!

Thanks for all the cute comments, y'all :)

Sun Shang Xiang is as annoying on film as she is in the novel. And yet, my affinity for Wu grows because I just really like the Sun family and can identify to some degree with Sun Quan.

Xiao Qiao is pretty hot and awesome in Part 1.

I want to see Warlords since that's early in the book and I'm hoping for an appropriately selected Diao Chan.

I really wish I had the time to devote to an OOTP league these days. I miss being in online leagues, I just don't have the time.

RainMaker 05-19-2010 02:15 AM

I keep having dreams that I'm back in school showing up for a test and thinking "I haven't been to class all semester". How does my brain not realize I've been out of school for 7 years?

larrymcg421 05-19-2010 03:58 AM

It's great that you saw Food Inc. Yes, I know what it's about. Yes, I'm still going to eat my burger. Leave me the fuck alone.

I still have these dreams regularly. I dream all the time that I signed up for a class and didn't ever go to it.

Logan 05-19-2010 06:54 AM

Same here. It'll never stop. In my case, it's about a class that I did skip all the time because 90% of the grade was based on the final.

Farrah Whitworth-Rahn 05-19-2010 10:44 AM

It's Wednesday. I'm a little irritated at work this week due to a big workload, a conversation with my partner yesterday, and then the events of today.

Dodgerchick 05-19-2010 10:51 AM

The South Park Studios website is starting to piss me off. I've been unable to watch an episode from beginning to end w/out it getting all choppy on me

I still have dreams that I'm in the Air Force still, but, with the way I look today. I've been out since 95.

Rick Reilly - most irrelevant, useless sports writer in the world. Must be Jayson Stark's hero.

yep, I left my last job in 99 and still have dreams about going in and working a shift there. it's cruel and unfair and I'd like it to stop please.

stevew 05-19-2010 12:02 PM

I finally think I'm no longer having the "Dinner rush and the tickets won't stop coming in" dream. Took a long time too, as I haven't line cooked in almost 5 years.

It's definitely cruel, since I'm still the same rank as I was in 95.

Over/under on the first lawsuit? j/k ;)

I have to give my cat eye medication and oral antibiotics for the next seven days. Looking forward to that.

Vince, Pt. II 05-19-2010 10:48 PM

Was eating a Clif Builder's Bar the other day while driving into the office after my shift. It had melted a little in my car, and I ended up getting some chocolate on my nose. I wiped it off my nose and licked it off my finger because hey, who wastes chocolate?

I looked over to my left and the driver in the lane next to me was giving me the dirtiest look...took me a second to realize that I must have looked exactly like I picked my nose and ate it. Awesome :)

JS19 05-19-2010 10:50 PM

If I have a few too many drinks in me I think I can dance... I can't.

Farrah Whitworth-Rahn 05-20-2010 10:28 AM

Woke up this morning and decided to plan a wine tasting day trip.
